An “official POUG” is defined (for the purposes of this wiki) as the rate that appears in red on the MMB/BA app. It is NOT the rate offered at the airport (please see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...ng-thread.html), or the rate offered when you click on the “Upgrade my class of travel with money” link from within MMB, or the “Upgrade to the next available cabin” blue/grey banner in the app.
Please add to this list as required, and include the month/year when the POUG is offered to you.

Are POUGs offered only for ex-London flights? No joy on my SYD-SIN flight.

POUGs are offered in both directions, well not if you depart from the UK "regions" obviously. I don't know if there are particular constraints on your ticket - such as other segments - which may prevent you from being offered one. Until recently SYD was quite strong on advertising AUPs to passengers but now the flights appear to be fuller it wouldn't surprise me if getting upgrades is more difficult these days.

Anecdotal MMB POUG
So, for my hop home tomorrow for Easter I find myself taking a HEL-LHR flight in ET. No POUG was offered over the last 2 months to jump to CE, only the far difference + change fee price.
Checked in by mobile phone yesterday no problems. Receive the normal BA email notifying of check in a few hours later. Email shows €99 upgrade offer!
As I have already checked in the upgrade is not possible, so I phone BA and ask to be removed from the flight. Done without issue.
Go back to said email, click link for €99 upgrade...this upgrade price is no longer available etc etc price has changed etc etc. Now back to €1053 for the upgrade. Perturbed by this, I decide to check what seats BA are still selling for the flight, 0 ET and 2 CE. Dilly dally a little whilst doing some other things and MMB times out.
Log back into MMB to see now the POUG €99 upgrade offer, but this the first time it was seen in MMB (previously just 1 email). Surprise surprise, it allowed the upgrade to be processed!
So it would seem that with BA and its booking management system the rule should always be, "if at first you don't succeed..."

What does this mean for bookings made with under 48h notice. If I make a same day booking or a booking for the following day will it not be able to get a POUG offer?

Is there an accepted way to present pricing information in the wiki here? I ask because
(a) I've now passed the threshold which allows me to edit wikiposts, and
(b) I have a price for a POUG which differs from that shown (LHR-DUB and vice versa,
which I did post at the time.)
Should one show the date that a particular price was offered?

I had to phone BA yesterday and while I had a very helpful chap on the other end of the phone I asked how much to upgrade our December CW to SIN up to F.
He quoted me 500GBP each.
If this qualifies as a POUG then if someone would like to include it at the top that would be great.
I didn't take him up on the offer as he suggested it may come down later.

as a hardcore AA person, i'm still a newbie to the whole world of BA POUGs but have tried reading many pages here (thanks!).
i have seen the upgrade offered (i) after booking--which i know has been eliminated until at least 48hrs or (ii) at some point prior to my departure when i look at my bookings.
has there been some shift lately in this process? i have about one dozen flights from may 11-june 6 all on BA and none seem to be currently offering any POUG other than the true price.
because my plans are so flexible i generally buy cheapest fares knowing i will have to cancel or eat about 20% of these flights and never take them. thanks for any information!

They could simply have a high occupancy. POUG isn't always offered, and I have seen somewhat horrific fares to some destinations in May/June, so I wouldn't be surprised if some flights won't have any POUG available.
