Zurich - Los Angeles

Hi all,

Could I impose on someone with ExperFlyer access to check reward availability with Swiss from Zurich to Los Angeles in First for two adults please? Summary:

2 x ZHR - LAX (LX) F (Any time in September 2009)
2 x LAX - ZHR (LX) F (7 - 10 days after outbound)

I'm conscious that my vague dates are asking a lot of someone in checking, so I'd like to express my extreme gratitude in advance!

As an aside, can you use MnM for LX F award bookings or is it miles only?

Thanks,

Darryl

There's no direct availability at all in anything other than Y on the outbound. Lots of availability in J on the return (every day from 17-30 Sept (except 28 Sept)) but nothing at all in F.

You might want to book an alternative carrier, class or route for now and then hope to switch to the LX F direct flights if availability opens up nearer the date.

Seeing as you're a Yorkshireman.

Availability in both cabins on all four dates.^

There's availability in Y on all four dates. One seat in F on 15/10. I'd book the wife in F and you in Y on 15/10 and hope that another seat in J or F opens up nearer the time.

Thanks, Corpt!

Observing the speed at which you were able to respond has prompted me to pony up the cash for a month's access!

I've now had a look with Air New Zealand (LHR - LAX) but can anyone clarify which fare code I need to check for a Miles n' Cash award with this airline? You've got "Business Upgrade (Z)" and "Business - Awards using Airpoints & Complimentary upgrades for Golds (I)" but I'm not sure which I should be checking...

Cheers,

Darryl

For NZ you need to use the ANA tool. (See the Sticky at the top of the Forum for detailed instructions if you're not familiar with this.) You don't need to distinguish on ANA between miles only and miles & cash.

Ah, so neither of those fare codes includes Star Alliance redemptions?

I've got an ANA account so I'll go trawl through the availability there.

Cheers,

Darryl
