Do you have e-ticket numbers visible as well?

Please could somebody check the following?

I have tried calling the ICC twice with mixed but negative results for availability of reward flights in economy.

13/06/09 - MAN / MUC - LH4869 or LH4861
13/06/09 - MUC / CAT – LH2638

27/06/09 – CAT / MUC – LH2639
27/06/09 – MUC / MAN – LH4868

ANA tool only lets me search MAN / MUC and tells me availability in both Business and Economy.
ICC tells me only Business available on both legs outbound and inbound there is no availability!

Presuambly you mean CTA (Catania, Sicily) rather than CAT (Cat Island Airport, Bahamas)?

When I check the whole itinerary Business only is available on these dates.

However, if I check MAN-MUC//MUC-MAN and MUC-CTA-MUC separately, all legs appear to be available in Economy.

P.S. NickB may be right but when I typed CAT the M&M search engine found CTA (Catania)

I notice the outbound connect time is only 30 mins for LH4861/LH2638, maybe that's why only J is offered. Very risky connection unless you don't mind staying in MUC for the evening

Hi
Thanks for your replies

Nick B was indeed correct it was CTA – Catania
Agree 30 minutes is tight!
Although listed on http://www.staralliance.com/flightSearchAction.do as a genuine combination and MUC is a pretty good airport. A night in Munich wouldn’t be so bad (At LH’s expense!) if it went wrong on the day.
So am I correct in thinking if I was to make two different bookings / redemptions I could get MAN-MUC -MAN and MUC-CTA-MUC in economy?
Presumably this would be 9,000 miles + 12,000 Miles (Zone 1 to Zone 1 + Zone 1 to Zone 2)?
Would we be able to combine these so luggage is checked through?

I'm not familiar with the DC redemption rules but why don't you ask ICC to check each leg separately? I don't know why M&M doesn't show the whole itinerary in Economy as available but that's LH/M&M IT for you.

30 minutes connection in MUC is doable though with only one flight to CTA there is a risk you may have to spend the night in MUC.
