I'll do some sums, but still think it will be too much, especially as it will be 2.5 x miles for First class

I presume you have to book it after 1st May then? It's not entirely clear on the bmi site, but it's just bookings made after 1st May that incur the 2.5x charge - the date of travel is not important.

I was assuming that the 2.5x would apply if travel was after 1st May

Could some kind person see if there is any LX F availability for 2 pax ZRH-ORD around 26 August 09 ORD-ZRH around 28th August 09 failing ORD, BOS or LAX would also work just trying to burn our miles,Thanks.

I'm very tempted by this, now and the ICC have confirmed it also. £400 in taxes though

You'd have the same level of taxes on a Business redemption, so it doesn't affect your decision whether to choose F or C.

£400 does sound high though, does it include the cash element of Miles + Cash? I'd ask the ICC for a breakdown and compare it with the same routing on ITA.
