I know it's a long shot but due to flight times being changed by TK I'm trying to look at alternative routings.
Looking for 4 biz seats from MAN - BKK between 11/12 - 13/12, checked as many routings as I can think of using ANA but would appreciate any further insight, Swiss maybe?
Anyway really appreciate any help.
Sorry should mention already with TK on 12/12.

LH4851 MAN0920 FRA1205
LH0772 FRA2250 BKK1505+1
instead of LH4851 you can take:
BD0589 MAN1355 LHR1500 - ECONOMY CLASS
LH4733 LHR1705 FRA1940
or you can take the following MAN-FRA flight in economy:
LH4857 MAN1825 FRA2110

I am thinking of flying MAN-IST-KIX one way on 2 one way award tickets. Z1 to Z8 will require 26,250 (52,500/2) miles plus cash on C class whereas the same routing will require only 23,250 (46,500/2) miles plus cash if ticketed separately, MAN-IST and IST-KIX. My concern is what would happen if the flight is delayed and I miss the connection. Will TK allow me to take the next flight even if they are ticketed separately? Both flights are on TK. Would 1 hour and 40 min connection time enough at IST?

I'd either build in a longer connection time, or stump up the extra miles if that is the only routing you can do.

Many thanks RAPC and Gordo.
I'll keep checking in case anything else is released (miracles may happen!).
Was trying to avoid a 6 hour connection wait in IST thanks to TK flight reshedule. Kids get a little stir crazy after a couple of hours staring at departure screens.

You could look up the award availability yourselves at http://www.aeroplan.com/adr/AirBooking.do
however, to get a more accurate result do the following:
however, to get a more accurate result do the following:
- check always as a roundtrip, even if only one way is needed
- if nothing found, check segment by segment

Does anybody know if DC miles can be redeemed on ANA Japan domestic flights operated by Air Nippon? The flight numbers are in 4 digits like NH1642. I don't think they are code share flights because they do not have any other flight numbers. Air Nippon is a subsidiary of ANA and I have redeemed UA miles on these flights. I wasn't sure if DC miles can be redeemed for these Air Nippon flights too.

DC redemption help request
Hello all - First post from regular lurker... any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I would sincerely appreciate any help from anyone with access to tools other than ANA with the following:
SYD or BNE to LHR departing on either the 30th or 31st October in Business.
I can see some availabilty using ANA but the only available class from BKK to LHR is in F (unfortunately I don't have enough miles for F). Availabilty from SIN visible, but only in Economy.
Would really like to travel in Business if at all possible, as Economy is a real struggle these days ( 6' 4" and not getting any smaller!).
Many thanks in advance.

There does not appear to be a problem with the SYD BKK flights and there are business on the BKK-LHR 30/10 TG916 or same flight 01/11...flight is 13:30 so just have to work out a flight in the connect
You will not find business redemptions on the SQ flights to LHR
The tools for checking other availability will be able to check any airlines not covered in ANA (such as LX) but looking at staralliance.com at the possible routes you should be able to find everything in ANA

Newbie Q
Having recently signed up I have two questions:
Looking at a redemption between Z 7 and 8 looking for the following routing:
SHA preferred to PVG -26.10> 30.10 PEK (stop) -30.10> BKK (stop) -9.11> HKG
would ths routing be possible ? or can I only do PEK - BKK - HKG ?
Can one do a booking if one does not have enough miles - I would buy the missing miles (or are there any other means for qauiring / exchanging miles) - but would prefer to know that I have the seats when buying the miles rather than being stuck with the miles afterwards as there is no availability.
Am I reading it correctly that it would be 15K + 100 X 1,5 each = 22,5 K + 150 for this trip + tax ?
TYIA
Cheers

There are many direct flights PVR-HKG and the distance is under 800 miles
The routing you are proposing is almost 4000 miles and I think involves backtracking
You are allowed one stoppover on an award
You could do PVG-PEK (stopover)-BKK (Z8-Z7)
then a BKK - HKG (Z7-Z8)
Your calculations above were for a return flight

You will not be able to do this on one ticket, you would need to book it as seperate trips.

thanks for the info
Do I read you correctly that I can do two O/W
One PVG/SHA-PEK-BKK with a stopover
and then a seperate BKK-HKG
and each tix would cost 7500 miles + 50 times 1,5
meaning having the same result as what I wanted in the R/T tix for the same cost ? That is really good ^
How about checking / booking a tix with BMI beforehand that one has the neccessary mileage ?
Thanks
Thomas

and then a seperate BKK-HKG (7,500 + 50) x 1.5 + taxes
If you were to do the HGK - PVG back direct then it would also be (7,500 + 50) x 1.5 + taxes
so total trip 33750 + 225 + taxes
If you look at the sticky at the top it will give you details about ANA where you can sign up and check availability...would recommend doing this before calling ICC as they will often tell you flights are not available

Thanks for the detailing - as I am flying back to Eurpe from HKG there is no need for the HKG - PVG part.
So in the end 22500 + 150
I am familiar with ANA - my Q is whether BMI would allow me to make a booking when I do not yet have the miles ?
TYIA
