Is the following allowed?
MUC-LCY
LHR-LAX (following day, under 24h stop in London)
I ask because I'm not sure if the folks in Pune will allow me flying into one London airport and out of another.

Also, is this one allowed?
MUC-IST-ORD

The first route looks fine.

I think the ICC will say no to MUC-IST-ORD. There are previous reports of them saying no to other Western Europe-IST-USA redemptions. Its neither the most direct route nor the only available route. If it's a flat bed that you are after, don't forget that UA now operate the 767 with new C (and new F) which is a proper flat bed product, on a number of LHR-ORD flights.

Thanks for the reply.

The first option is preferred because I can visit a friend who lives quite close to LCY airport, and then the following morning head off to LHR to fly back to America.

However, when I called the ICC just now, they quoted me taxes & fees of 290.20 which included a 90.00 GB tax. I believe that is the UK APD, which I understood was not applicable since my stay in the UK was <24h. The agent wouldn't budge on it, even after placing my call on hold twice.

ETA: Called back and got a lovely female agent who got the whole thing booked in under 5 minutes for 200.90 plus 4.50 cc fee. What a lovely Monday it is!

Hi

I am not sure if there is any way to get from the west coast Australia to the east coast. Is it permitted to go PER - SIN - SYD and if so if it is permitted to have a stop over in SIN.

PER-AKL-SYD would be the most direct that I can think of

Neither the Star Alliance timetable, nor ANA, give any valid routings for PER-SYD, so your assumption has to be that you cannot redeem on this route without booking it as 2 separate itins via SIN or AKL.

Can anyone find a valid routing from JNB-DXB, which avoids CAI /MS ?

Thats a tricky one as its the most direct. You could try pushing it via IST I guess. Find days when the flight via CAI is not available then they are normally ok about giving you a slightly off routing.

Pretty sure this Z1-Z8 redemption should be ok, is it, esp the outbound sectors?

OUT: LHR-ICN-TPE (OZ)
RTN: TPE-BKK-LHR (TG)

Both look perfectly fine

LX via ZRH was permissible last year. Not sure whether it still is.

I will book KTM-ARN within the next couple of months. I will have a stopover in Thailand on the way which is ok but is this ok? KTM-BKK-HKT-BKK-ZRH-ARN. The stopover in HKT instead of BKK. I know that I cant have a stopover in both BKK and HKT but will KTM-BKK OPEN JAW HKT-BKK-ZRH-ARN also be ok?

That won't be allowed as you need to do the most direct routing and HKT is not on the route. The only way you could do this is via two rewards.

It better to do a stop over in BKK and buy a r/t to HKT on one of the LCC's

Hi, guys, how about this routing

AMM-IST-CPT(stopover) using TK 41-JNB-BKK-HAN.

garethmorgan Apr 13, 2010 2:29 am

Are LHR - BKK - PEK and HKG - SIN - LHR OK?

I plan on a bit of tourism by train between PEK and HKG.
