After trying some codes, it looks like OGG does not participate in many offers, but it depends on your reservation. When are you renting, for how long, what type of car?

Thanks for helping =). I'm pretty new to "travel hacking" rental cars, but I found a convertible through budget for $160 total so I might stick with that

Pickup Location (airport, city, or ZIP code/postcode): OGG
Dropoff Location (if different) (airport, city, or ZIP code/postcode): OGG
Pickup Date and Time: 8/28/14 at 3PM
Return Date and Time: 8/31/14 at early morning
Vehicle Size Preference: CONVERTIBLE
Memberships (AAA/USAA/airline FFP/Amex Plat/Cent etc): USAA - need to use this one because I'm 24

Hi, I just made a reservation on AVIS using the AWD code for CITICORP (A074800). My question is, I'm not a Citibank employee neither Citi Credit Card holder, does anyone succeeded a rental like mine?

By the way, do you guys have a AWD code for AMEX Platinum holders?

Thanks!

So, to get this straight, you want a coupon for a convertible in Maui in August? Me, too! :p

Do you belong to any airline programs? They can give you a good discount in addition to the bonus miles.

For instance, I just booked a car for a client with Alamo using United's triple miles offer and it also knocked about 12% off the price. I stacked that with a free upgrade (only to standard car max, no convertibles, sorry) and ended up with a pretty good deal all around.

What's your USAA Avis code? I encourage you to share it but PM it to me if you don't want to publicly. Does it give a discount?

Even with or without priceline it doesn't have anything close to a 58.9% discount.

But Citicorp is cheaper than both priceline and costco.

The only code that matched was $15 off (MUWA238)

Any ideas? Thanks

Sorry I never got back to you. I am indeed looking for a convertible for maui in August lol. The BCD is Y126501 for USAA, but it is free to sign up on their website in order to access the code, and I've heard that at some places the USAA account needs to be verified.

I've got 2 days 18 hours for $166. Have you found a better rate?

That looks like the best rate around. It's the rate I got on budget.com without any coupon code or BCD - maybe there's a Budget coupon code you can find that will knock a little off.

LAX - 6 days

I'm looking to do a 6 day rent at LAX (8/17-8/23, so no Saturday). Prefer full size-small SUV.

I have a Cornell University employee, I sort of have a Sam's club -- my mother and I share, but card has her name. I'm a Club Carlson member.

I'm looking for the least expensive rental I can get for this time period. I got a decent rate of about $215 including tax for an intermediate SUV using the Costco codes: AWD Code: A108326, Coupon Code: MUGA049 listed on their website, but I'm not a member and am worried they will ask me at the counter, even prepaying. Can someone see if they can get me a similar rate that I won't have to worry about being rejected at the counter?

Thanks!

Note for those traveling to Australia:

I used the Queensland government code when picking up a car in Cairns.

When I got to the desk the guy behind the counter asked his colleague to review the booking. Then then asked if i was a Queensland government employee.

I stood my ground and said something about my secretary booking the car. They were not happy at all but gave me the car. The final thing they sneered was that I would not get my BA FF points with this rate.

I have a further car to pick up with Avis is Brisbane on Saturday - definately getting a plan B in place with alternative provider

Yikes! Loyalty program discount code enforcement is definitely on the rise. IHG is apparently kicking some people out of the program altogether (including some RAs, apparently) just for registering for too many promotions for which they're not eligible.

But when you book online and enter an AWD code, there is no message that tells you to whom the code belongs or that you have to furnish proof to use it.

Have been renting for the past 10 weeks through a combination of both Budget and Avis and have learned alot in terms of how the discounts work..

I am under 25, and all these AWD codes have taken off the underage fees.

When I started renting in June, I was able to get a weekly rate of $125 in Toronto with the Budget codes below. In July and Ausust, everything went up and I've had to switch to avis using the Citicorp code.

My favourite combinations have been:

Budget - USAA corp code: Y126506, and coupon MUZW005 for $20 off - Weekly rate $170 with tax in June
Avis - USAA corp code A177232, w/ coupon MUWA028 for $35 off
Avis - Citicorp corp code A074800 w/ coupon Muwa028 for $35 off, weekly rate $224 with tax at non airport location in July/August, was a bit higher at YYZ Airport location

Now onto my question...are there any good codes for BMW rentals?

kapkap46 Aug 6, 2014 9:15 am

Anyone have any codes that will work for New Zealand 12 day rental.

Thanks

When Avis says unlimited mileage on their website, are they actually "unlimited"? or are there certain restrictions like staying in state?

Rental terms including rates for AWD A113400 State of Florida

I haven't ever pushed the mileage envelope with Avis, but as far as I know, all rentals come with unlimited miles. You can cross state lines and they even let you take the car to Canada.

Avis rental terms

my favorite part:

"SUV Rental under an Emergency Executive Order
If the Governor signs an executive order placing the State of Florida under a state of emergency, the special Standard SUV Executive Order rate will be made available to first responders going to a disaster area. Reservations for the SUV vehicles will be based upon available supply. "

So hurricane = Standard SUV sale! woohoo! lol

This was like 10 years ago. Published rate didn't match and they had so many garbage fees.

It ended up being more expensive than Avis.

But of course back than I was clueless :(

I remember getting ripped off a few times myself back in the day - mostly by Budget.

I thought that someone recently was asking about a premium or SUV code, but I couldn't find the post.

AWD S829900 25% off SUV / premium cars

I think this is a new one, works for SUVs and premium cars. Actually, I think you get a discount on every car class except X, but I'm not sure, didn't test it out.

As far as I know, anyone can use this code - might be able to stack it with a coupon, like free upgrade or something.

When I try to use this code it says it needs to be redeemed at the pick up counter and that a paper coupon must be presented

EDIT - nevermind I figured it out

Anyone have experience renting Avis at PDX? I'm looking to book a trip with my wife for a long weekend (Friday-Tuesday) in September or October, and for all the weekends, rates are $250+ with a free weekend day coupon and using the USAA AWD (base rate is about $55/day for an intermediate). Anyone know if this is normal? Budget and Hertz come in a little cheaper. Budget as low as $140 and Hertz around $190, depending on the weekend. Thanks!
