I don't understand. Here's what autoslassh says: After you book, we analyze your rental and figure out which ones lower your rate the most. Then we automatically apply those discounts and re-book you at the lowest rate. I don't want to be rebooked "at the lowest rate" that they pick. I only want to rebooked at the lowest rate that (a) is for a car class that I want (in many cases, there's an SUV that's lower, but I don't want that), and (b) that works with the bonus miles/points coupon I'm using (in the current case, 7500 bonus AA miles for a 7-day rental), and (c) is an Avis Preferred reservation made with my Avis Wizard number.... |

Thanks for the lists FlightExpert!!
I also have a big list on my site of current Avis frequent flyer promotions for US and Canada airlines, plus the AWD numbers for different status levels for Avis' worldwide airline partners (about 50 in all). It is a really long list and I don't have the time or ability to format it for the FT forum. Is it OK to post the link on here? (or you could also PM me for it if you are interested.) |

I would say you're probably safe, but the fine print says they can always ask for proof of discount eligibility. In my experience, if that's going to happen, it happens at the counter.
That Priceline code A686200 is a killer discount, but the best was the Citicorp A074800. I have heard that all you have to have to use that one is a Citibank card or account, but I am not sure. I think the Priceline one is for Priceline customers, like the Sears code and the Farmers Insurance code. I have never heard of request for proof when using the Priceline code, has anyone else? Also, the military discount AWD A555084 gave 40-50% off every time I searched - a really good deal. I should say I THINK it's a military discount AWD. If a person really wants to know for sure, they would have to call Avis and ask. The same goes for all the corporate AWD codes on that list except G833800, H855900, H855900, K462601 and all the coupon codes (UUWA029, etc.), which I got directly from Avis. Here's my citibank card If they say its only for employers than I could be like "oh" And than use the priceline code Since i'm actually a major priceline customer. |

Also note that I edited a few of your above posts to delete "Unknown" AWDs. We've had too many people posting "Try this AWD because it works great." But it's just their corporate code where they're trying to get inflated rental #s. As noted in the wiki at the top of this thread, all AWDs must list the associated corporation/group/etc. |

You make the initial reservation. In my experience, autoslash rebooks you only if they find the same class car offered by the same company you reserved at a lower price. If they find a better deal with another company, but the same class car, they simply let you know and you can rebook. That's the way it seems to work to me.
So if it works the way you say, it would have been useless for me, because the price in the class I originally booked never went down in cost. (I didn't care whether I got an economy, compact, intermediate, or standard, I just wanted whichever of those was the lowest cost. It sounds like autostash is not up to that job, but my manual technique is.) So if there's only one class you're interested in, then autoslash may work for you, but it's a range of class and it's unpredictable (and in my experience it often is) which class will end up cheapest later on, then it sounds like autoslash would not work. My, anyway, how do I tell autoslash what my original reservation at avis.com is? When I tried it, it only allowed lookup of existing reservations on third-party sites (expedia, etc), not any of the rental car company sites. |

The current rates shows the fullsize is 280$ for 10 days (18th Jul to 28th July) non airport. Premium is 350$ Few days before i was able to find this at 220$ for a full size and the rates have now gone up. Need your help guys. |

Sorry the codes did not work for you. What is your rental location and rental dates? Maybe someone can help you using this information.
Then, unless I'm mistaken, you are already being shown invitation-only rates. I doubt there's a code you can use to get cheaper than that. You do get a free upgrade with Avis First. They're supposed to upgrade you automatically (when available), but in my experience you might want to call them, either to make a reservation or to confirm the upgrade after reserving online. Dedicated toll free number 800-331-1200 (US only) for Avis First customers Avis First Benefits Location:Schaumburg, IL Dates: 18th Jul - 28th Jul Car type: Premium, preferrable Luxury(due to 10 days trip;) Though my profile shows Avis first in avis site, my login doesnt work in Avis first site. So im not sure if i will get an upgrade. Also i was using Costco codes to reserve, and it was showing me the same rate even with my avis login and without login, so not sure if i get any special rates for AVIS FIRST. |
Sorry, but anything for off-airport France? I'm going to need to make a last minute booking soon.

Here's a list of Avis coupon codes and special AWD / coupon code combinations.
These tend to expire, I'll try to keep the list updated. or re-post as necessary. You can combine ("stack") these with AWD numbers. I got a standard car for 7 days for $177 at LAX in July by stacking A074800 (Citibank / Citicorp corporate AWD) with UUWA029 (free upgrade). Not all AWD numbers work with all coupon codes. This is also dependent on your rental location and dates. Sometimes you have to play around with different combinations for awhile to find the best deal. If you are trying to find the best rate through multiple searches using multiple AWD numbers and coupon codes, clear the cookies in your browser between searches - you'll be amazed at the difference this can sometimes make. |
I never had any luck calling the location up front for car selection.
They never pick up the phone and would only forward you to the main reservation line/ |

On the Avis website, check the box "I have a discount code", then you will see three fields: AWD Number, Coupon Code, and Rate Code. Enter your Queensland gov't AWD in the AWD number field and enter UPDA029 (double upgrade) or UPPA067 (single upgrade) in the coupon code field, then proceed with your search as normal.

The T&C's for all these codes say they can't be used in conjunction with other offers, so they probably can't be stacked with coupon codes, but you never know. As far as I know, these are not corporate codes, so anyone can use them with no ID or proof of eligibility required. Enjoy! |
Can someone please tell me what this code's corporation is?

A lot of coupon codes seem to be blacked out for those dates and/or location. If you go back through the last 5-6 pages of this thread you should end up with a pretty good list of AWD #'s and coupon codes. You can use AWD numbers and coupon codes at the same time. Some combinations work, some don't. Try different codes and combinations - and clear your browser cookies after each search. It's a bit tedious, but you might end up with something that works. What country are you making the reservation from? That might make a difference what offers and codes are available to you. $1200 for full-size total price is only $54 per day, during peak rental season at a very popular location. I looked at other agencies and could not quickly find anything cheaper for those car classes. Hopefully someone else can help you out. Good luck and enjoy your trip! |
Any new current AWD's other than the Citi Bank one?
I'm looking to book a trip this coming week @ T-48 :) |

Does anyone know if the Priority Pass code (A733315) is for employees or members?
|
Wondering if somebody could point me to an AWD or discount code that will knock a one-way rental from Sydney to Brisbane (or vice versa) in October down to a rate similar to the same city return rate. Tried a few AWDs, but nothing significant yet.
One way rental is ~ 3x the normal rental, I'd much rather enjoy a leisurely drive than fly this leg. |
Hi all - new to this so forgive me if I ask a question that has been answered earlier.
I am flying into Venice in September and returning 8 days later - hiring a 7 or 9 seater as meeting family in Croatia. Will need a baby seat as well. Have tried a number of the codes from the great list suggested by flightexpert but can't get any to deliver a discount except the Hilton Honors, but that does not seem to beat prices on a few comparison sites. Any suggestions? |
Hi all,
I got best offer with AWD J881604 -15% discount in US and Canada. I've checked all EU local Avis websites and best rates was via avis.co.uk |
Any coupons that work in Hawaii (OGG)? Avis has the best rate for me but I'd still like to cut it down or score an upgrade if possible with a coupon. Thanks!
