Discount code for long term rental

Hi Folks,

I have to relocate to BHM, AB for approx. 11 weeks over two chunks of time (20 + 61 days). Head Honcho has decided that renting a car is the best way to go but has charged me with finding the best deal. Any discount codes would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Vliegle

Hi, I have some beginner questions. Are the coupon codes timtim2008 provided only usable for US citizens? And if not, do I need to provide the actual coupon or are these all e-coupons?

Thanks

AWD for SUVs and Request for Coupon

Via email from Avis:

"Intermediate SUV for $22 a weekend day or $149 a weekly rental
Standard SUV for $25 a weekend day or $169 a weekly rental
AWD # S767700"

Also works, for $25 per day in my case, for Standard SUV. Great deal in my case.

Now I am looking for a coupon code to stack for either miles/points or a further discount. I have 2 day weekend rental at SLC. Any suggetions?

OR
A113400 (State of FL employee) for the intermediate car costing me $205.00

Now what I understand is that A074800 may not require an ID to proove, however I have Citi card. How about with A113400? Am I OK or need to provide some ID? I do not have any status in AVIS.

Also, with any of these 2 AWDs can I still use coupon # MUHA015? This coupon allows you to earn 9K Club Carlson points.

Thanks

I rent with the Citi rate several times per year...never been asked for ID of any kind. Never tried the state of FL rate, but others have reported ID required nearly 100% of the time.

Farmers AWD code

Has anyone used the Farmers AWD code (A972200) recently? Were you asked for ID -- Farmers employee, customer...? Earlier post on this is over a year old now.

Going to Kauai at the end of Feb. Stacking the Costco coupon for free upgrade with this rate code gives a great deal up to full size.

Thanks

I was thinking of using the same AWD, but the Saturday keep is throwing me. If I pickup on Sunday and return Friday night what is the penalty? Sorry if this is a newbie question.

Thanks

I last used this code in August from a local Toronto station and it was flagged. The counter monkey refused to honor the rate and made me pay the $59/day rack rate (thankfully was only one day). No other agencies in the area were either open Saturday or had cars, so I was forced to take it as I was a couple hours away from a family event.

Whenever I've tried it since I don't seem to be getting the same good rates as I used to anyways.

Successfully used N711304 in Italy. Reservation showed that it was a 'contract rate' but there were no issues when I picked up the car. Made a significant difference in the rate.

I picked up at MXP and rental was for 12 days. I found the discount code in the flyertalk forums.

St. Martin Discount Codes

I am visiting St. Martin in the Caribbean from Mar 1 through Mar 12 and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any AWD Numbers or Rate Codes?

I tried the current Caribbean/Latin America discount from the Avis web site (H877100) but it did not change the rate.

Thanks

And I can report ID required 0% of the time.

As always, YMMV.
