Tons of Avis AWDs claim "up to 25% off". I'm sure if you price every location with every date possible, you *might* find a rate or two that are 25% cheaper with the Hyatt or other AWD, but I haven't seen them work well at all. Once in a while here or there they might be a bit cheaper than the rack rate, but nothing substantial.

Hawaii eligible coupons?

I've searched but every coupon code states it is valid in the "contiguous United States" and therefore of no benefit in Hawaii. Are there any Avis coupons valid at Hawaii locations?

I want to rent a car in Germany and I wondered, if anyone got into trouble lately for using the K444404 Netjets code? It cuts about 40% of the price and I really can't imagine that no one will ask me for any id. The problem is, that the price only lowers, if you check the box for "payment on return". So I would be forced to pay a much higher price in the end if they ask me for a proof which I don't have. Any experiences on this?

Common understanding here is that in Europe, except at ZRH station, nobody has asked for ID yet. I have used the code in Germany and Italy several times in the past and was never asked for proof.

Thank you -- this one lowered a 24-hour compact rental @ DEN from $127.99 to $43. Wow.

12-day SFO rental

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a 12-day rental to/from SFO starting on 12/21. I've found one using my florida state employee rate (I actually am one) for a total of $312 (incl. taxes) or so for a compact. However, I've seen various special week-long rates come up here now and again. Can anyone tell me if I should be looking for a specific kind of AWD/coupon for this longer-term rental? I'm used to short-term rentals, so I'm unfamiliar with this territory.

Thanks,
Alex

Not quite. I posted before about getting refused at ATH.

You are not going to find a better one for avis for a 12 day.But i think the rate for 2 weeks will be about the same so you might as well get it for 2 weeks if going 12 days.

But to answer your question use that code.

Try breaking your rental up into 2 rentals both with Saturday night stays to maximize coupon usage.

Used the K444404 AWD at Weeze, Germany (NRN) airport. Went very well!

Got upgraded from an Audi A3 to a Mercedes SLK for free :)

Avis Coupon for Honolulu, Hi?

Are there any coupon that can be used this month?
Rentals at Honolulu.
Thanks.

Bhatnasx's link overrules the high price of renting in FL over the holidays--even on weekly rentals (but no free day!) Even cheaper than my private AWD#!

Has anyone found any particularly good rates for a convertible in Kauai or a 2-week rental (one way) in New Zealand? Many thanks. (I have found some rates that work in these locations, but not better than my ABA rate).
