have a one day reservation at MIA, booked luxury as C300 but i would actually want a premuim/luxury crossover 5/7 seats. What are my chances? Or should i rather book a suv class? But then i can end up stuck with a non premium ride?

Just saw this. IME I get a car pre-assigned maybe 50% of the time at SLC. Usually something decent (or I can talk them into it). A couple of months ago I was assigned an Acadia and was subsequently handed the keys to a Hyundai. I was not impressed.

They were really good about it last year.

Probably will get a Lincoln (sedan or SUV). If you want more space, book it. Avis rarely upgrades above Luxury. XC60 is luxury, but more difficult to find than a Lincoln.

Thinking about renting a Standard Recreational Vehicle which states Jeep Wrangler 4-Door or similar and would like to know what is the "or similar" vehicle in this class?

There is no ‘or similar’ for this vehicle class. It’s just boilerplate wording. It’s always a 4-door Jeep Wrangler.

Probably the easiest thing is to just book at Avis and then track the rental by going to autoslash.com/track or clicking on Track a rental for price drops from our homepage and entering your reservation details. We'll let you know if we find a better deal.

As a President Club member I'm entitled to an guaranteed upgrade if renting from a airport location, however this time the rental is more than 14 days, and I can't see any remarks for up to 14 days regarding the Presidents Club guaranteed upgrade, as for the Preferred Plus based on availability upgrade?

It's Hertz President's Circle as opposed to President's Club. Note that most major airports have Hertz Ultimate Choice now, so you if you book an intermediate or higher, you can choose from a nice selection in the PC area. Note that the rental length doesn't matter.
