If you had registered properly first time around, it won't let you register again. Looks like your first registration never went through!

I thought the OMAT offer was for 140% bonus miles all in, which is 15% higher than the generic 25% offer, but this 15% gets smaller if you had received a special 130 or 135% offer in the first place.

So if you take the highest tier, this comes out to about 1.39 cents per mile. Is this the lowest ever, for any airline?

No, not even close. There were ways to get US miles for well under $0.01 USD per mile (1 cpm) back in the day.

US Airways was the best! I remember they had sales with valuations as low as 0.8 cpm.

Hey not only that - but the mileage requirements, flexible routing rules and stopover - amazing - but alas the FF party has been over for a long time. Given some of the business class deals around these days it's sometimes cheaper (well almost as cheap) to buy a ticket than use FF miles.

Does AmEx count buying LM as Airfare spend? (i.e. eligible for 5x on Platinum Card?).

LM is not an airline.

"AmEx Platinum Card users will earn five points for every dollar spent directly with airlines or on AmEx’s travel website"

This freaking sucks. I bought like $1800 in miles, then the transaction went into pending mode. Since I am coming upon my trip, I decided to use other means to fund my ticket. Two days later, the miles were finally purchased even though it says something is wrong. Weird system
