anyone fail to have their march credit work out even with a linked plat card? I took a ride on march 31st after correctly linking my card, but never got the credit. uber's support is beyond frustration.

they just keep replying "We apologize for the inconvenience with this as well as the misunderstanding. Our team is aware of this issue and we're working hard to resolve it as quickly as we can. Thanks for your patience." the ticket is marked "closed" in the email, which is infuriating.

i've gotten that response 6 times. any suggestions. just reached out on twitter, but no response from uber support or amex in 2 hrs.

Did you definitely have the credit toggled ON in payment options? You must both have your card correctly linked, AND have the use of credits turned on for them to apply.

I do agree that Uber CS seems to be failing WRT the Amex credits.

This. If you go into payment options there's a toggle.

Also, I already had separate Business and Personal profiles set up. My Business profile defaulted to have the credit toggled off, and my Personal profile defaulted to having it turned on.

A fair amount of discussion on this upthread.

Thanks. Can you describe where in the app I can set the deafualt to not apply the credit in my business profile? When I go into payment options, all I see is the option to select one of the three cards I have linked to my account and a note saying that I am enrolled in the Platinum card benefit. I don't see a place to toggle off the credit.

I linked both MB and regular PLT, only 1 $15 credit showed up, don't know from which one. both have option to use get 2x MR or pay with MR points, but no use credit option.

Mine just started off that way on 3/30. I don't know how to set the default and also...see below.

And now this is how mine is showing.

I used to have the toggle on/off for the credit on the Payment Options screen, but now Uber app shows Amex Benefits but no credit (and IIRC, it will only show the toggle if the credits are actually available).

Oddly, the credit still shows up on my UberEATS app. Will probably use that today before it disappears.

ETA: Just downloaded an app update (Android) and the credits appear again. Here's how to view them (again, my reference is Android):
- Open app.
- Choose destination.
- Tap on your Business or Personal profile under the car type options (just above the black Request button)
- Tap Payment Options
- On the Payment Options screen, you'll see all the CCs you have listed on your profile, and if you have credits available, you'll see those at the bottom of the screen along with a slider to turn them on or off.

Perhaps there really is a broad software issue, and perhaps Uber is aware of it, and working on it, and closing individual tickets because it isn't an individual problem.

The opposite happened to me this month...

I'm posting as a data point, not as a complaint. After using the $15 in March on an Uber ride, I opened my app 2 days ago (4/4) and saw $30 in credit sitting there (thought it was odd but was at a business dinner and somewhat inebriated so didn't really care). I took a ride just over $15 and as I open my app now, I still have >$14 in credits left. No other credits/promos/referrals earned anytime recently so it's not a stacking thing.

No idea what is going on but at least it worked to my benefit.

Watch those cards

PSA: I added my Platinum to Uber yesterday afternoon without issues, and while it could be a coincidence, I had hundreds of $ in online fraud charges by that evening. Hoping the reissue is at least the metallic card...

Doesn't appear to be the case any more. No VIP comes up for me in DC.

Does the VIP option come up in any city?

I also just see Payment options, then Credits section below that listing the $15 credit. No toggle. Haven't tried to use it but I hope it will automatically apply when I get a ride later this month.

Some markets don't have VIP program.

And you haven't use the card anywhere else? I had about 4-5 cards linked to Uber in past 12 months including the AMEX on March 29. No fraudulent issues with any of them.

I see it now when I attempt a dummy booking in ATL. Any benefit with uber VIP?

AFAIK, VIP just guarantees you a driver with a 4.8 rating or above.

The downside is that since there are fewer drivers with that rating, it can *sometimes* take you longer to get a ride. Not really an issue in high-traffic areas.
