Oops, you're right. Once the driver got here, the receipt came through in my email for just $1.06. I suppose the $16.06 charge to the Amex will just drop off in a few days.

My tummy and wallet are happy!

Awesome news!

Here's what the VIP option looks like in ATL. Cost is exactly the same as UberX.

It appears that the credits can be added to a single uber account by two different AMEX platinum cards. I added two platinum cards to my account and the credit balance increased by $30.

I was also able to add two different Platinum cards for $30 total credit.

First Uber eats order with my amex platinum business as my only Uber eats credit card. Charge was $17, no credit posted or showing yet and food was delivered 10 minutes ago.

If that's my only billing card I shouldn't have to do anything special right? Do I hav to to select the credit when paying?

Are you talking about platinum business? Uber credit is only for personal card, I believe, no fee increase for business card.

How do they detect which account is the first account that it is added to? Is it possible to switch the benefit to another account after a while?

Anyone know the answer to this yet?

Was it an additional user card or s totally different account?

Yes. The $15 credit shows up in the Uber app, and is automatically applied if you select an eligible Amex card as the payment method. Actually, I do think there was an option to not apply it (I'll look more carefully next time), so if for example your first Uber of the month is a reimbursable one, you could choose to save the credit for a later personal trip.

Since it acts like an Uber coupon, only the net amount posts to Amex, so you'll never see the full charge or the credit on your Amex statement. So, I will know in less than 24 hours if the $15 appears again for April (I suspect it will).

Used the Uber credit for Uber eats, no charge to be posted to credit card. Can be delivered to third party which is good if you don't have service in your area

5 dollar deliver fee means you're limited to a 9 to 10 dollar item though

My credit posted in the app as expected, but my spouse's didn't -- despite being an entirely separate AmEx Platinum personal cardholder, not an AU on my account.

We've removed and re-added the card to no avail. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm hoping to get it sorted out soon so we can use both credits today before they expire!

I see the $15 credit in Uber app. If I use it today, will I get another starting Apr 1? Is that how this is going to work?
