I too see the 50k offer, have never had this card.
I just applied for and was approved for an Amex HH Surpass on the 1st. Anyone know if Amex will not like me applying for this card 3 days later?

This was a different, discontinued, product. If you want the benefits of Premier Rewards Gold you should apply as explained in this thread:

You can apply, but Amex will wait 7 days from your last app to process it. That is what they did in my case when applying for 2 cards in less than one week. CSR told me this was their procedure when I called on second app. I was approved for both btw.

You can get a credit card and a charge card on the same day so I'm sure you can also get them 3 days apart.

Did you register for the benefit on Amex website? You need to select which airline you want to use the $100 for reimbursement.

The benefit is not launching until June. I don't believe we've heard specific details of how it is going to work, but I believe the presumption is that it is going to be like the Plat where cardmembers will have to select an airline.

Yah, I'm assuming it will be something like that, and the start date is right in the middle of my trip.

Sign-Up Bonus
I held an Amex Gold from 2004 - 2008. I know AMEX is now only offering one sign-up bonus per card, but do you think I would still earn a bonus since it's been a long time? Also, is the PRG a different product? Would I still earn a sign-up bonus for either the Gold or PRG?

PRG didn't exist then. It is a different product from the Plain Jane "Gold Card" (which still exists for new apps) as well as the "Rewards Plus Gold Card" (which no longer exists for new apps). So you can apply for the PRG and get the bonus. Be sure to get the 50,000MR/$1,000 offer. There have been offers for up to 75,000 MR, but those were/are highly targeted from what I've read.

While I like the $100 statement credit, MR, and 3x categories...
Ultimately, I ended up putting a few $1000 of airfare on CSP due to the additional travel coverage that I find valuable enough to forego the extra 1x in MR points. It really took a lot of consideration, after all, who wouldn't want an additional 5-10K of MR? But if I end up buying separate travel insurance, it would be at best a wash with the MR, and if I ever need to claim, it will more than exceed the MR.
It would be a no-brainer if PRG had similar coverage.

My plan tonight was to apply for the PRG(50k) and the Everyday in one hit.
Surprisingly I didn't get instantly approved for this card. I believe it said they would let me know the decision in 7-14 days. So after I read that I applied for the Everyday and got approved instantly but with a CL of only $1000
Any recommendations for when I call recon on Monday? Any downside since I got approved for the Everyday? Or should I just apply now for the SPG? I was planning to apply for the SPG 6 months from now.
My current Credit Score (CK): TU: 727 EQ: 729
3 hard pulls this year
9% Utilization
Last approved card was my CSP for a $7500 CL on 4/8/15
