Is this a good offer? (Worth the annual fee?)
Maybe and maybe. If you will have costs in 2013 and 2014 that you would have actually had to pay out of pocket and can get reimbursed for them, then it's a great deal with a nice low minimum spending requirement.

Or you do $200 in calendar year 2013 and you cancel the card after 6 months to receive a prorated refund of the annual fee.

That is an exceptional offer considering the current public AMEX Platinum offer is 25k and the public Mercedes-Benz Platinum offer is 50k.

However, for the sake of most others on here waiting to jump on a Platinum offer when it comes out, let me ask you, are you a current cardmember? AMEX is getting very stingy with signup bonuses for current customers.

AirFjord's report of a 75,000 targeted offer has been appended to the established thread. See also the same poster's separate thread in Credit Card Programs comparing this offer to others:

i got the 100k, $5,000 spend in 3 months, $450 AF Business Platinum offer.

i went for it due to the airline fee reimbursement, global entry, and lounge access (priority pass and award travel on AA, US, etc).
don't travel that much but it will be nice to have for some upcoming trips.

have not had an AMEX in a very long time and i am working on rebuilding my credit with Barclay's US, Citi AA, etc. needless to say i was a little surprised at the offer.

Was this back in January or recently?

We got the same 100k offer at my business address mid-May but the name on it was a different business that has been non-existent for quite some time (but used to be there until a couple of years ago). I still have it and am wondering if I can use it to apply with my own business name. It also says you need to apply by mid-July so I don't have much time left to decide.

So this fits my question precisely... I have a corporate issued AMEX already, and I already participate through MR via that card. Does this mean that the offer for 100k MR points @ $450 annual fee doesn't apply to me?

Clearly if I can't get the points, it's not worth it. Then again, in theory AMEX knows I'm already a cardmember, right? ;-)

Just got the offer for the 100,000 points for the Platinum card with $10,000 spend in the firsts 3 months. Have to apply by August 9. Just applied for the Chase Ink for 60,000 points after $5,000 spend in 3 months so will need to put this on hold.

To upgrade from which card? I'll hit 12 months in July on my PRG and I'm waiting for AMEX to throw an upgrade offer my way before I apply for a new 50k MB plat

I just got a 25K offer to upgrade from a MR Gold card. Has anyone had any success calling with a 25K offer and getting a 75K or 100K one?
