Going back to my semi-recent post. With Delta being partnered with the co-branded card it seems odd(or maybe depending on your view obvious) that there hasn't been any transfer bonus since 2011 for Delta.

I kind of take the opposite view. If Amex holds Delta's cobranded card, why would they or Delta have an incentive to have a transfer bonus? It's probably better for both parties for people to just spend more on their DL branded cards than transfer more MR points over. Just my .02...

Lightbulb DL 1000 bonus miles for "new" transfer partners MAY work from MR for you

Well, there's a slight (up to 100% ) bonus over on the Delta side. They have a promo where you get 1000 bonus points for each transfer from a "new" partner (one you haven't transferred to in a specific one-year peroid). The minimum MR->DL tranfser is 1000 points, so I transferred 1000 points (for a whopping $0.60 charge ) earlier this week, and already the 1000 DL miles transferred and the 1000 bonus DL miles from this partner promo are in my DL account.

But it's a flat 1000 miles, so it's only a 100% bonus if all you transfer is 1000 MR points.

And if you did a transfer to DL already in the one-year period they check, there's no bonus at all I guess.

Here's the thread on the Delta side about this:

Also, they have kicked off a 40% Promo with both BA and IB (effective through 9/17/17); this effectively means 250 Amex rewards points will transfer to 350 Avios.
