Thanks for the info. Does SQ allow you to hold a reservation while the points transfer? I called SQ and I couldn't get a straight answer out of them on this issue.

Doubtful, but I never tried. But really, it should not take more than a few minutes for the points to show as available in your account.

ANA Transfers

Anyone know whether this is instant (i.e. like BA) or if it takes a while?

Thanks

Just transferred mr points

Did it about an hour ago. Sent secure message to MR desk regarding expediting, but their response was the standard "3 business days, can't be expedited."

The posts above looked encouraging regarding instant transfer. I need to book an award for travel on UA on Monday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Miles posted after about 12 hours

An update, miles posted, about 12 hours, on a Saturday/Sunday. Perhaps it would have been quicker if I had a pre-existing Kris Flyer account, which I only created and linked the same day? Not sure.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your points to transfer to aeroplan? I need to book my trip for this weekend...how long will the points take to show up in my aeroplan account?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.1030 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/417)

Multiple FT posts have claimed that it is instantaneous.

From Amex Canada it only takes 2-3 minutes; I've done it many times during the "Star Challenge Promotion".

You can always test with 1000 points to be sure.

I've transferred over 41,300 MR to AE, and the transaction showed up, but the "available miles" is still the old balance.

I can't book a flight until the balance is updated because it seems to think I don't have enough.

Did it with the agent on the phone last week. Refreshed my browser and the miles were in my Aeroplan account.

I have found that you just need to log out of your Aeroplan account and log back in, points are there.

flyinghigh77's question has been merged into established thread on transfer times. Scroll back to post 26 and you will see inconsistent reports for transfers to SQ, but it is certainly not one of the instantaneous partners.
