Warm Champagne
Walked into the Flagship Lounge on Sunday afternoon. Poured myself a glass of Delamotte. Took my seat. Took one sip......ugh. Not cold enough.
Noticed an employee walking around in a suit that I've seen many times before. Told him how impressed I am with many aspects of this beautiful lounge. Also told him that unlike the Chicago Flagship Lounge, the champagne in LAX is not kept on ice and is served too warm.
He said that American spent a lot of money on those chillers. However, he suggested I send a text message or email to American with my suggestion regarding ice for the champagne.
Anyone else want cold champagne? Text American to 787839, or go to aa.com/loungefeedback.
Ice, baby....Ice.

Hi all,
For those familiar with the FL at LAX, here's a scenario and I'm looking for advice.
We are flying BA from BIO (Bilbao, Spain) and the intended target is SJC. Our LHR-SJC was cancelled about 8 months out as they seem not to want to run it on a Tuesday.
Options are:
1. LHR-SFO (and then Uber to SJC). This maximizes time in LHR T5 Galleries First, and gets in to SFO at 18:15. Add maybe an hour for the Uber
2. LHR-LAX-SJC. The reduced time at Galleries F, but gives us about 2:45 in LAX to try out the FL. And brings us right to SJC (where we will have departed from), but at 20:53, so quite a bit later. And it's a School Night
I have high regard for Galleries South first, but know nothing about the new LAX FL. Thoughts?
Cheers.

I'd choose option two. Mostly because Ubering from SFO to SJC isn't all that appealing. Aside, you'll have access to the QF First Class lounge in TBIT at LAX during your layover in addition to the FL, though will note that both aren't very close to the American Eagle regional terminal where your SJC flight departs from.
We've done the QF F lounge at TBIT, and I'd pick T5 Galleries first over that (although the QF lounge was quite nice). And, yeah, the Ubering will be "just OK," but I really don't mind Uber/Lyft these days.
Cheers.

The AA FL is nice, and I like it, but it's not as nice as QF F. If you say that your BA LHR lounge is nicer than QF F, and knowing that the bus transfer at LAX is a bit of a hassle and reduces your lounge time, I'd pick the direct flight if Bay Area traffic at that time isn't that bad.

Are you in J? If so, any chance you can get on AAs 77W LHR-LAX? Much better plane and J seat. If I could get that, I'd take the transer. Other wise non-stop, even with the drive to SJO. You could get a meal at SFO that's quite good (if you arrive during traffic). I usually don't see a great lounge worth a connection and it's attendant higher probability of snafu.

Got to try the new AA Flagship Lounge out for the first time before our LAX-HND route last week. While the lounge was fairly busy it was not completely crowded. I thought the food options were very good and well prepared. The service was fantastic as I had a couple of question on seating on our JL flights out of HND and the agent went above and beyond. I have been to the QF F lounge a lot and like it but think I am just fine with the AA lounge. I actually like the buffet setup a little better then than the menu setup at QF.....maybe I am just a self serve kind of guy.

If that is true, then that might explain why all the "environmental music" you hear these days are all rocking the 60s. Personally, I'm getting tired of hearing the same old (and I do mean OLD) stuff in restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Mick got his Satisfaction a long time ago. He's now a great-grandfather.

Don't take this as any kind of authoritative answer, but someone told me that pre-1972 songs don't pay royalties to the performer. I have no way of confirming this information, so I do indeed invite correction or clarification, please.
