For those who have canceled and redeposited awards, is the new expiration date one year from the date of redeposit or the end of the following year? There's no way I can use my BE points that expire this year and am thinking about how I can proactively protect them while we hope for another extension.

Just had the same experience. Thankfully meeting services was able to take care of it in 2 minutes over the phone.

Question for all those with experience using the Business Extra program. I have a "P" class premium economy ticket DFW-SCL at the beginning of next year. Does anyone know whether I need to use BXP2 or BXP3 upgrades in order to upgrade "P" class fares?

Update: Just used the more expensive BXP3 certificates. Would be curious what priority I get with those

I had two BXP1 upgrades confirmed on a trip LAS>MIA and MIA to LAX (as both were on widebodies). The LAS to MIA segment was cancelled by AA a few hours before departure, with no availability to rebook that day or the next, so I cancelled this and the subsequent segment as AA couldn't rebook me within 24 hrs. Do I need to call meeting services to claw back the two (now) unused BXP1s that were applied to the cancelled segments?

In my experience, yes. In the past I have emailed Business Extra ([email protected]), which provides the added benefit of having a documentation trail confirming the BXP1s weren't used.

I cancelled a SFO-JFK segment with two confirmed BXP1 upgrades (2 pax) a few ago and was able to re-apply one of them to a new reservation about a week later without issue. Figured I would have to call and argue but was pleasantly surprised.

BXP3 is correct. BXP2 is only for J or Y fares, not for any of the premium economy fares.

As for priority, YMMV... I would set an ExpertFlyer alert for C availability and call when it goes off (hoping that it does so during Meeting Services phone hours!)

Thank you for the confirmation! And did exactly that. Fingers crossed for some C availability to pop up

Got an email to my work email today saying to join Extra and then fly within 90 days to earn 2000 points. Pretty sure this is their old bonus where you got 2000 points for signing up, with the only new caveat being you now have to actually fly after signup. I am pretty sure this is worth jumping on, keep an eye out on your emails.

P.S. I think I generically signed up without signing up signing up, and took one of their surveys... not sure how exactly you can get targeted.

How long do partner flights take to post? I'm seeing AA flights posted from before and after the partner segments, which makes me believe either I forgot to add my number or it just takes more time.

I've had them post in a day or two, I've had them post after 30 days, and I've had them never post - which required a call or submitting a missing mileage request online.

As crazy as it sounds, if you do have to call or submit a request, you'll need photos/screenshots of boarding passes and ticket numbers as proof of any partner flights. Because of this, I keep photos of all of my boarding passes until they post.

You've gotten BE credit for QR flights? The T&Cs say no:

I usually request credit for my BA flights as they never seem to post.
