I'm booking for an associate who want to use their BA status on the flight. Also, trying to add PELAUNCH to get double PE miles but the promo registration page asks for an AAdvantage number.

Are you referring to the BE promo registration page? AFIAK, BE requires the BE account manager have an AAdvantage number
BE promotions are registered under the company BE account, not individual AAdvantage accounts
(I don't know whether people using the BE account number for AA flights also need to use an AAdvantage number on that flight. Did you look at the BE terms?)

As mentioned in the other reply, the company registers once for the promo, not individual flyers.

In my case, no one in my company uses an AA FF number ... all BA. There is an AA number that is only used by the admin for logging into Business Extra.

For BA bookings, you can add a Business Extra number in "Manage My Booking", as detailed in the Wiki.

For AA bookings, the BE number can only be added when making the booking initially or by calling meeting services. (Again, see the Wiki.)

In either case, the individual traveling is free to credit to the FF program of their choice. Business Extra has no impact on this.

Nice little promotion if you are flying in the very near term: https://www.businessextra.com/i18n/c...MBWEEK2018.jsp

Minor correction: any AA agent can add a BE# to your reservation, including through Twitter. I send a dump of record locators to AmericanAir and it’s done quickly :)

I've tried having airport agents at ORD do it, none of them knew what I was talking about.

Oops - sorry, was reading quickly and didn't see it in the wiki.

But now I have another issue -- I can go into MMB on ba.com, I see the link under quick links, but when I enter my number it says "We do not appear to hold any future bookings for you. To extend your search please enter details below." Any idea what that means? The bottom of that page says "Return to Manage My Booking," and if I click, I am returned to my trip this week. So I'm not sure why it says there are no future bookings?

I get the same error message when I try to add my Business Extra number to my BA reservation (just one traveler on the reservation - myself) using the MMB page. It says "We do not appear to hold any future bookings for you. To extend your search please enter details below."

I currently have my AAdvantage number on the reservation. I thought whether it will work if I change it to my Avios number, but it's not letting me change it. The MMB page gives the option to add the Avios number but if I click it, it goes to a page that says my AA number (which was already on the reservation) has been added.

I called BAEC Blue number and the guy on the phone insists that there is no such thing as Business Extra, and when I insisted there is such a thing, he says it cannot be done since the Business Extra number is not from BA. I'm HUCA and on a hold. Does anyone know a workaround to do this online rather than talking to clueless people on the phone?

Looking to book a partner award on BA. What fare bucket do they book into? Award or Revenue?

Award, just like every other Business Extra award.

Thanks a ton. That's exactly the scenario here. The traveler has a BA FF on the reservation and I was able to add Business Extra in "Manage my booking". The only concern I have is that it does not appear to be "sticky" - when I look a the reservation there is no way to tell whether the Business Extra # has been stored, so I will just have to trust in BA.com working (not totally confident there :)

:( I wish I had looked before today. I returned from a trip today. Does anyone have a positive experience where the T&Cs of a BE promo indicated you have to register before you fly, but registered after flying, but before the miles were credit to AAdvantage?
Edit: I did get the 500 points for this.

You can call BA to check that it is in the booking..

In my experience, that is normal...you cannot view to confirm that it has been added.

One thing I have noticed, however...at the bottom of MMB, there is a link that says "Add On Business or Business Extra Number". After you have added it, this link changes to "Add On Business or Additional Business Extra Number".

I had a flight yesterday and my BE # attached, but I ended up flying standby on an earlier flight- will this affect my bonus earnings?

beachfan May 1, 2018 10:49 am

My corporate travel agent is CTM. I had assumed that they were getting Business Extra credits (for my company) - when I tried to get retroactive credit, I was denied.

Now I found out that none of the reservations they made have a Business Extra number in there. If I put my wife's number in there, will she get credit or is there some other way American tracks Business Extra stuff when booked by a cororate travel agent.
