9/25 DCA-PWM: Mrs ConstellationClass (EP, ~360k rolling LPs I think) and I were 1 & 2 out of 16 for 0 seats available.
|
ExecPlat, ~350k last 12
9/27 DFW-BOI #2, #1 cleared. BOI-PHX #1, cleared at T-0:30, only one to clear. PHX-DFW #5, none cleared. |
9/26 TPA -ORD 26 for zero seats
9/28 ORD - TPA 25 for zero seats i’m a low LP EXPLAT so now I just booked first when I want it. I’m so low LP I’m basically Plat Pro plus lol and because I’m rarely higher than number five on the list Or maybe I might get an upgrade for a puddle jump like from TUS - PHX, or TPA-MIA There’s no reason for me to be loyal to AA And if I’m gonna pay for first, I might as well take some dl ua flights Just my two cents |
Checked via EF for a flight from CDG-PHL-MSP on 2/28/26 and looked at each segment individually. Each segment showed U space available but the fare is not available for partners to book. Anyone know the reason? Thanks.

I always thought it was the other way around, that you had to search each segment individually. Each segment by themselves is available to partners but as a whole they aren't. Thanks

I've never had a problem before searching this way before so thanks everyone for the info.

Searching individually shows both U and T seats on each leg, while searching the full route shows zero U seats. To test, see if your itinerary is available to book in coach (T), which is showing 7 seats. |
You guys are correct, I was thinking about C space and searching individually. For U space have to search the whole route.

Exp with ~300k rolling LP.
Last Friday - Phl - CLT. I was originally 9th on the list for 2 seats. Then we got a delay based on delayed inbound, and I assume there was a delayed international inbound, as suddenly 7 seats became available. 7 upgrades cleared. Then an 8th upgrade cleared. Then I was upgraded out of my seat in MCE. I’m currently sitting at 56% upgrades for the status year with a base of CLT. |
Currently booked JFK-MXP on the evening of 10/30 and used a SWU. J7 available but no movement so far! I'm at 500k rolling 12 months.
Incidentally, same flight on 1/2 already confirmed the upgrade with SWU 2 months ago. |

Incidentally, same flight on 1/2 already confirmed the upgrade with SWU 2 months ago. CLT - DUB 10/16 - 2 X SWU cleared with a smattering of J seats left (according to the seat map on AA). DUB - CLT 10/19 - 2 x SWU waitlisted with 16 J seats left (according to the seat map on AA). Same story on PHL - LIS 1/19 / LIS - PHL 1/25 at the start of the year 2026. I gave up my Flyertalk membership when the AA inventory was having issues, so can’t check the fare buckets, so might be just a lot of sold seats who haven’t selected yet. |

I wish I could deduce some kind of trend on when SWU are released.
