Good question. Around 400K by my reckoning. Is there any way to find out the exact number except via a painstaking calculation?
Easy-peasy. |
Oh lovely. I'm almost at the bottom of the upgrade list for my flight to ORD today. As a lowly gold, I was expecting to be where I am.

I think unless you keep your own spreadsheet, no. Moreover, after you are done booking a trip the LP assigned goes away. Pretty apparent that AA would like you to stay in the dark so that you might be more encouraged to buy an upgrade.

Select "View all activity" Select "Change dates" Select "Custom date range" Set "Start date" to one year ago from today plus one Set "End date" to todays date Click "View Results" ... which will show you your 12 month rolling LPs https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...b8bf1846cf.jpg |
AA 2111 LGA CLT 6:30AM 9/12
#3 on the list; only 1 cleared LGA is quite busy in the early mornings! Plane did not seem 100% full as everyone on standby cleared through |
ORD-DCA. Upgraded the 7:00 pm departure about 3 hours prior to boarding.
DCA-ORD. #2 out of 22 and only one got upgraded. The curse of the A319 strikes again. |
9/12 - IAD-DFW - cleared at T-24h
|
Monday: LGA-ORD Upgraded at T-24.5
Wednesday: ORD-LGA #9/30 😂 LP ~310k |
On Saturday morning 9/20 I flew BIL-ORD-OKC with the first flight on an E175 and second flight on a CR7. I am barely ExPlat.
My upgrade cleared at the 100 hour window on the BIL-ORD flight, and the F cabin was less than half full 48 hours before the flight. Although my upgrade did not clear early on the second flight, things were looking good with five seats available 48 hours ahead of the trip. There were three seats available 24 hours before the trip, so things still looked good on the second leg. Then, the telecommunications issues at DFW kicked in, and significant reaccommodation began throughout the system due to cancel and delayed flights. On Saturday morning, both flights were zeroed out in both cabins and did not clear the entire standby lists. I was number one out of six for zero seats on the ORD-OKC flight and did not clear. Based on the relatively small upgrade list, I'm thinking that the majority of the F pax were either paid upgrades or re-accommodations. I was the only person that boarded with group one. That flight in MCE was not bad. As an aside, on my flight to Billings, I flew DCA-DFW-BIL on a Monday. It was 8,000 mi for Y and only 18,000 miles for F. Needless to say, I just booked the flight in F using miles. On my DCA-DFW flight the upgrade list was miles long. I would not even have sniffed an upgrade on that flight, and I would not expect to. However, getting a killer bargain with miles was awesome. That's another reason why there aren't many upgrades. There are cases where American is offering excellent deals in F using miles. |

8/31 YHZ-LGA cleared about 30m before scheduled departure, but only for myself (Plat) and not P2
On the way to YHZ on 8/29 I believe 2 were cleared in front of us. A bit surprising because I didn't think that many elite status folks take this route |
