There is now apparently a limit of ONE free double in coach. Was rationed on last night's A321T redeye.

They showed me a memo on their tablet that showed my seat number, plus: "EXP: one complimentary drink and snack item." Was eventually able to angle for a second due to Circumstances.

If you're talking about the free drink for EXP in economy then the policy has always been one free drink and one free snack item.

Sometimes the FA's will give you another one for free, sometimes they make you pay, just depends on the FA.

But this is completely different than FA's arbitrarily limiting pax to 1 or 2 drinks for their own personal made up alcohol consumption rules, which is what this thread is talking about.

Maybe it's that the policy is vague. This is what I'm seeing for MCE on aa.com:

"Enjoy complimentary beer, wine and spirits; plus free Biscoff cookies or mini pretzels and soft drinks."

Definitely a YMMV situation depending on the FA's...

Two Beverages for EXP in MCE?

Ahhh and this is more like the right thread!
Admins, feel free to move these posts - I have been having trouble searching for threads lately and this one seemed close enough.

Too many drinks given

I’m having the opposite situation: when I’ve ordered a drink (in first class), on recent flights, the flight attendant has brought 3 mini bottles to me, or the flight attendant has brought a double, and then another double. I appreciate the generosity, but I don’t need more than one!

There is approximately zero overlap between FAs who serve doubles unprompted and FAs who insist on breaking the seal on the mini. On the rare occasion that I get a double that is undesired, yep I’ll throw the other mini in my bag and have it for a nightcap at my hotel, or at another time.

I got three cocktails on PIT-CLT last night and one on the ground as a PDB. That was a good PDB.

RDU-PIT on the way up I only got one and was refused a refill because we were descending. That was Republic at least.

My Dear your temperance is creditable but misplaced. Most of my acquaintances and plenty on here would take it home if they did not consume it there and then. My husband and I always have an emergency supply as I refuse to pay a fortune to some hotel for a gin (frankly Aviator tastes as though it was distilled from some pilot’s worn socks but that’s another matter).

I have seen some concerns expressed over the years, but this is in a class of its own.
