As of 9/21:
Flights under 900 miles
Flights over 2,200 miles* / over 4.5 hours
**Some domestic and short-haul international flights will include a fruit and cheese plate instead of tray meal service and will also have snack basket service before landing.

MIA-JFK. FAs went around w phone taking to all the non revs and asking them if they wanted a big bottle of water and handing it to them in front of other pax. I know they get one on boarding, but to spend so much time welcoming nonrevs and ignoring paying pax in F, even when someone requested water too, just seems awful.
so much for being afraid of being in the cabin. They have no problem doing it for themselves/fellow crew. Time for PDB and full service to return for all, it seems
also had a separate experience with a LIM based crew. For the fourth time, I’ve had carts in the aisle on a 737 for service in biz from a South American based crew. They seem to be the only ones that still think that’s the procedure. Just find that interesting. Doesn’t bother me, but just interesting that they still do it after all these years of it not being policy.

1/25 AA 2704 RDU-CLT A-321: Full PDB! Plasticware in the air though and packaged mixed nuts. The FAs did refills though on the 39 minute flight.
1/25 AA 1694 CLT-ATL A-319: No PDB. Plasticware in the air and packaged mixed nuts. No refills.
AA staying inconsistent in 2022.

This morning PHX/LAX there were PDBs. Doesn't look like I'm going to clear my next flight today LAX/MIA unless there's a no show/misconnect. If I do will be interesting to see if it's the pre COVID transcon PDB service.

The PDB options were champagne, water and orange juice already poured and cabin crew distributing them with a tray. Other drinks were also available upon request during boarding.

It’s true.
The quintessential PDB is back.
Is that on select flights? MIA-JAX of all routes!
We loved the FA; and she told us PD drinks have been back since Feb 15.
(There certainly weren’t any on JFK MIA (777-200) a few days ago.)
This is good news for us all, isn’t it?

Had PDB Feb17 DCA-TPA Also, TPA-PHL Feb 20. No other flights those days or since,
Seems pretty much back to normal. sometimes you get them sometimes you don't.
Have to admit it looked somewhat difficult to do the PDB. The FA was pushing through the boarding crowd with some difficulty to get drinks out. Both FAs were thanked by everyone in F
