DFW-A AC will be closed for several months
The DFW-A Admirals Club will close on Monday October 30 for several months while undergoing renovation.
As many of you know, half of the club is already renovated. According to staffers, they originally planned to keep the club open while they re-did the remaining half. However, construction up so much dust and noise that they figure it's better and quicker to just close it until after the construction is finished.
When asked if they'll provide some kind of temporary club (a la LAX), the reply was "no, because we have 3 other clubs at this airport".

I would probably suggest the AC. I haven't used them, but if the showers in the CL are maintained anything like the restrooms, they're probably absolutely disgusting.

I dropped in to the DFW-A Admirals Club last night, shortly before they closed for the night (and the year). They'll be closed this morning until the construction is finished.
AAngels say that a temporary area for AC members will open soon.

- Location: down the concourse a short way, "kinda near to Pappadeaux"
- Services: boarding passes, check on flights, etc.
- Refreshments: coffee and water for sure, possibly other items as per the "Grab & Go" setup at LAX T-4
- Place to sit and relax: no way, absolutely not, nope, ain't gonna happen
- Opening date: a few weeks from now, check your email (notice will be sent to AC members).
