Cleared SFO-DFW AA2352 as a Plat, which meant I got dinner service. Thank god, was running late and didn't get a chance to grab food. Gate agent handed me my new boarding pass as I walked in and scanned my old one as they were already on group 5. Felt nice.

Question on using 500 mike upgrades:

If I apply to use 500 mike certificates, and they aren’t successful, how long until they show back up in your account?

Aa 41 bcn - ord

Has anyone any feedback on chance of upgrade Y to J as EXP for AA 41 (BCN->ORD) using Miles & Copay? Taking the flight on a weekday mid-June.
Thanks

And you board and sit in the seat. Had an upgrade clear at about T-45min, then when I went to board, had been downgraded to the back of the plane, someone higher up apparently cleared standby, then got the seat. Last row of CRJ900 is awful, and I have 30dB earplugs that got out of the case for the flight. Never had the upgrades deducted for that adventure.

I flew LGA - DCA a few times last year and JFK - DCA too. The only time I didnt get upgraded was when the plane only had economy service, every other time I've always got it. In my experience its the most easiest route for me to get upgrades followed by MIA, DFW and SFO was hit or miss last year but lately I'm getting upgraded every time and I'm clearing several days in advance (ie. on Saturday for Monday / Tuesday flight).

LAX-PEK

If this helps anyone - been using EF and noticed lately it's releasing J inventory to C for upgrades at EXACTLY 36 hours. Seen this also on DFW-PEK the last week. Your mileage may vary but someone may find this useful. Tracked the prior last week and it was pretty consistent 36 hours to release seats.

DFW-ORD-LHR on June 23rd revenue Y ticket. I tweeted AA about how I can upgrade this (no SWU's left) and they said 25K miles + $350 copay and i'd have to be waitlisted. If it doesn't clear I'm not charged the copay.

Does anyone know what bucket these upgrades come out of?

thanks

ah got it -- makes sense.

Thanks, I'll set the alert now on EF.

I don't know why but I thought the daytime flights to heathrow would have open C.

At any rate I was able to capture C with my last SWU on the nonstop 78 on the 28th.

ORD-LHR on the 28th is only J5. So it is unlikely they would have C space open with only 5 seats left in the cabin.
