If I'm reading correctly that you intend to visit lounges in both T3 and T5 during your outbound layover in LHR, please be aware that will most likely not be possible. As arrivals and departures are not mixed at LHR as they are in the US, upon arrival at LHR you would not be permitted with a T5 boarding pass to enter the departures area of T3.

You ‘re correct about them not being connected and certainly not easily accessible but if one wants to you can go between T3/T5 to access lounges. I did it once at least. It was quite a hassle though.

It's possible, but it can be a hassle:

And I'll second the thought that the T5 BA First lounge is not nearly as nice as the Cathay F Lounge.

Flying out of DFW to Doh on Qatar J booked through Qatar. Flying into DFW the day before on AA domestic first booked through AA (separate tickets). Will I have access to Flagship First lounge including FFD or is the only option to make sure that I have AA Platinum by then to get in?

You can access the Flagship Lounge by virtue of your same day DFW-DOH flight in business class. You cannot access FFD as that is for AA/BA first class only.

I'm going to confirm at the lounge anyway, but wanted to see if anyone knew of policy on this:

We have a couple of FL access coupons from LP choices. We arrive at about 5:30AM in DFW. We leave around 10:15AM. It would be nice to be able to go to the FL for a bit, then maybe walk around, and return. Since this is the same layover, would this still be treated as a single visit if we let them know before we leave. Or will leaving in the middle end the visit?

Cheers.

I doubt there's an official policy anywhere on this, but it's never a problem to leave and come back when accessing the lounges via normal means, so I can't imagine it would be any issue when accessing it via one of the single visit passes (even though it is technically labeled a "single visit pass"). Just let the agents know when you leave that you'll be back in a few mins.

It would take an agent on a major power trip enforcing "single visit pass" in the most literal sense to give you any trouble.

Well, that part is good, but I just looked in more detail at the awards. It seems that, by rule, they can only be used by me. It seems that I can't officially use one for me and one for mrs. brp (also EXP) traveling with me. Since we'll be there anyway, I'm certainly going to try and see if they will make an exception and simply burn both passes and let her in. This is a non-obvious policy and definitely not apparent when choosing this, even though it is implied in the T&C paragraphs.

Cheers.

Would appreciate some insight. Flying DFW - CDG on 2/23/25 in P. What, if any lounge access will I have in Paris? I'm OWE status/Platinum Pro and have the Citi AAdvantage Executive Card. Thanks in advance.

You won't have any access on arrival in Paris.

Quoting my post to provide an update in case anyone else finds themselves in this situation.

At the DFW FL, I said I had two access passes. The agent asked me to scan the first, then processed mrs. brp. Then sane with me. No mention of issues and all good.

Of course, a different agent could do differently, but I have a feeling that they’re not familiar enough with these to know the nuances. Just two passes, two people.

Cheers.

See old thread. But as noted, there is no AA arrivals lounge:

CDG also funnels you into an arrival process, it's a maze, and I'm unsure if you're able to escape that to get into the terminal anyways. The contract lounge there (for your departure), is okay, but nothing to write home about.

Do the lounges at JFK (Greenwich or Soho) count as Flagship lounges?

The Greenwich Lounge has the same access rules as the Flagship Lounges. The Soho Lounge is for oneworld Emeralds (AA PPRO and EXP) on qualifying international itineraries.

You can find the exact entry requirements on this AA webpage:

It should be noted that if the traveller has OneWorld Emerald status in a program other than American Airlines and Alaskan, they would be able to access the Soho lounge on any OneWorld operated flight including domestic American Airlines flights.

My wife and I are flying ORD-DUB in August on EI with our two boys (including one lap infant). We'll by flying in Y, but her parents (booked separately) will be flying in J. The flight goes from T3 and they'll have access to the Flagship Lounge. They have offered to buy us day passes so we can all get in. I have two questions:

1. Will we be able to get in with day passes if we're flying EI and not AA?
2. Will each of the kids need their own pass or is there any way they can come in for free (oldest will be 2)?

I've been AA Platinum for five years or so and have always been able to guest the in-laws into the lounge when we've flown internationally together in Y but my status is lapsing and I almost certainly won't have recovered it by the summer, so this is a new one for me.
