This is more in hope than expectation, but I have gold status with BA but I'll be crediting an upcoming US domestic flight to AS as I'm trying to improve my status with them. Any chance the lounge staff will let me in on my BA number or does it absolutely have to be attached to the booking? I'd put it in, but my AS number gets me on the upgrade list so on balance, that would be more important.
Thanks for any thoughts! |

It doesn't have to be attached to the booking, there are plenty of AA flyers that have their AA# on bookings but use other oneworld programs for lounge entry on domestic flights. Just show them your BA Gold card for entry.

The caterer for MIA is different than the other FLs, and I feel like the quality is worse. It really depends if you can drink $150 worth.

No way MIA is that bad. I really enjoyed the food on my last few trips there. DFW is at the bottom of my list unfortunately. JFK and LAX are on par. Though on my last LAX visit, they really upped their game on breakfast.

MIA just feels like a real international lounge to me. Its large and I like the TV area as well as the good air conditioning on the TV room side of the lounge. It has the day bed type chairs too which is nice. I'm not crazy about the staff there but I do enjoy the lounge. |

Completely agree with you having visited the Flagship lounges at DFW, LAX and now MIA. The catering is a step below that of either DFW and LAX (I'd argue DFW has the best catering set up). I mean yeah they got hot food but the selection and quality is nowhere near the same at MIA compared to either DFW or LAX. When I visited last month they had day old crepes for breakfast that were harder than a dried gummy. In hindsight maybe I should have visited the Admirals lounge instead.

All in all, it really depends on what one values as to whether the $120/12k RDM is worth it. |

Or 15k miles.

MIA for me is the only FL I enjoy. LA was nice when it had FFD but its small, hot & the food for lunch/dinner is flavourless, boring & never hot.. Although I agree breakfast is alright. Much less of a sample size for me at DFW but doesnt really do anything for me as for as food or feel.

It depends on what time you visit. They used to have pork chops that were basically tire rubber, but the new menu for lunch/dinner is marginally better.

Miami is in the middle of the pack. Great quiet areas, tv area is good, good work areas. Food is good, not great.

Good to hear. Hopefully I will bump into you there some day. And yes something about the staff except for one who is very diligent about keeping the tables clean.
You're right. I was there afternoon into dinner. They had cuban pork belly last few times and Poke too. |
Flying FCO-PHL-BNA in premium economy on AA award ticket. I am AA Platinum. Travel companion has no status and is ticketed on a totally separate reservation.
Will we both be able to access to Flagship Lounge at PHL? Based on reading all the rules, I think I should get access because of my OW Sapphire status because I’m Platinum, and I’d be entitled to bring a guest in with me. Is this correct? Would we just save our inbound boarding passes from Rome to PHL and use those? |

Is anyone traveling through PHL this afternoon able to confirm if the FL finally opens? I was told yesterday that today's the day

Today is the day. AA announced it. Local TV ran a story. Hard to see how it would not open. |
I was there this morning and tried to visit the new club. There was someone at the bottom of the escalators saying it opens this afternoon. She was excited and very nice.
