It doesn't have to be attached to the booking, there are plenty of AA flyers that have their AA# on bookings but use other oneworld programs for lounge entry on domestic flights. Just show them your BA Gold card for entry.

Completely agree with you having visited the Flagship lounges at DFW, LAX and now MIA. The catering is a step below that of either DFW and LAX (I'd argue DFW has the best catering set up). I mean yeah they got hot food but the selection and quality is nowhere near the same at MIA compared to either DFW or LAX. When I visited last month they had day old crepes for breakfast that were harder than a dried gummy. In hindsight maybe I should have visited the Admirals lounge instead.

No way MIA is that bad. I really enjoyed the food on my last few trips there. DFW is at the bottom of my list unfortunately. JFK and LAX are on par. Though on my last LAX visit, they really upped their game on breakfast.

MIA for me is the only FL I enjoy. LA was nice when it had FFD but its small, hot & the food for lunch/dinner is flavourless, boring & never hot.. Although I agree breakfast is alright. Much less of a sample size for me at DFW but doesnt really do anything for me as for as food or feel.

MIA just feels like a real international lounge to me. Its large and I like the TV area as well as the good air conditioning on the TV room side of the lounge. It has the day bed type chairs too which is nice. I'm not crazy about the staff there but I do enjoy the lounge.

The crepes are awful, I agree. How they make them hard is wild. DFW is directly run by the former manager of catering for SkyView (AA HQ), I've directly sent feedback to him before, but he said there's nothing he can do about MIA.

It depends on what time you visit. They used to have pork chops that were basically tire rubber, but the new menu for lunch/dinner is marginally better.

All in all, it really depends on what one values as to whether the $120/12k RDM is worth it.

Miami is in the middle of the pack. Great quiet areas, tv area is good, good work areas. Food is good, not great.
It is pretty widely accepted that the worst FL is hands down ORD. Crappy crammed food and atmosphere.

You're right. I was there afternoon into dinner. They had cuban pork belly last few times and Poke too.

Agree with the crammed and layout. But IME and opinion the food at ORD is the best overall. Loved the surprisingly super fresh Oysters they had for a while, and then the asian buffet was amazing.
Worst of the pack food wise for me. MIA (even if they had offered Venezuelan Arepas in the live station and now tequeños in the buffet spread, those I really love!)

I almost forgot that, yeah last month I tried the new offerings (the pork belly and the Poke at the live station), those are definitely an upgrade! also try the tequeños in the buffet, a Venezuelan staple.

Based on reading all the rules, I think I should get access because of my OW Sapphire status because I’m Platinum, and I’d be entitled to bring a guest in with me.

That is correct, no problem for you and your companion to access the FL at PHL. You can scan either boarding pass, they will see you're coming from Rome.

Hard to see how it would not open.

I was there this morning and tried to visit the new club. There was someone at the bottom of the escalators saying it opens this afternoon. She was excited and very nice.
