very appreciated! Didn't see it clearly noted on their website and our layover that was once 3 hours is now 5. Woo Woo!!

My record, which I would prefer not to reach again, was 10 hours at DFW on a rolling delay. At least you have a good view of the apron to keep you amused.

I've done a good 16, which I booked on purpose to get an extra day of work done from the lounge (connecting later didn't work due to award space issues). They may question it if you're crazy early, but I've never been denied because I've shown up early for any reason.

Question....
Traveling Flagship Business JFK-LAX and then after 2hr layover, will connect to LAX-LAS in J. Itinerary is all on one reservation.
Since my first leg is Flagship Business, will I have access to the LAX Flagship Lounge during my connection?

Yep, no problem to access the LAX FL during your connection.

Yes. Even if they were on separate bookings, or if you didn't even have an onward connection you would have access based on the Flagship Business flight.

Cheers.

Thanks for both responses above.
So the LAX FL is an arrivals lounge as well? Been there several times but didn't know that.....

Flagship First and Business get arrivals access at FL or AC (in the case of non-members).

Cheers.

That was my experience flying Alaska business class from Seattle to LAX as a Qantas Gold (OneWorld Sapphire). The rules for AA lounges in general is you get access to all of their lounges on arrival provided you are travelling a OneWorld carrier (in any class of service) and hold Sapphire or better status with a OneWorld airline other than Alaska and American Airlines.

+1...That is the power of having non US based OneWorld Status when flying domestically in the US....you can access FLL even flying/arriving on Alaska/American Airlines as a foreign carrier based OW Emerald/Sapphire.

"Other oneworld® EmeraldSM and SapphireSMExpandGet access if you’re departing, arriving or connecting to any same-day flight marketed and operated by American or a oneworld® airline (regardless of cabin).*^"

Flagship Lounge access as BA Gold, but flying under AA number.

I am based out of Chicago, and I have gained access to the Flagship Lounge every time since also becoming BA Gold, whether using my BA number or my AA number on my boarding pass.

This week, the Lounge Supervisor informed me that I MUST use my BA number in order to gain access.

I asked if that was written somewhere as I never knew that.

She returned with this printed out:

To enter

You need your qualifying boarding pass with your oneworld® Frequent Flyer number†.

A government-issued photo ID may also be required.
If not indicated on your boarding pass, provide your Frequent Flyer program status card (physical or electronic).

I responded that my Aadvantage number was a oneworld FF number.

But, am I doing something wrong by using my AA number, but entering the Flagship Lounge based on my BA status? Thanks in advance for responding.

No, there are lots of folks on here that fly with their AA# but use status on another oneworld carrier for lounge access. You typically just provide your card or the other number for entry. Sounds like a misinformed agent.

Last week at ORD, I showed my boarding pass with my advantage number, and gave her my Qantas gold card which she typed in to confirm, but this did not change or override my Advantage number for flight credit purposes.

I'm flying out of DFW on QR in J to DOH and then F to MLE. Does the F ticket to MLE get me any additional access (Flagship Dinning?) in the FL or is there no difference?
Thanks
