Flagship Lounge Access - DFW-OGG - AA Award Ticket
I've previously accessed the DFW Flagship Lounge on DFW-OGG and OGG-DFW non-stop paid tickets. Is Flagship Lounge access still allowed on an award ticket?
I don't see anything in the T&C of the lounge access but I also don't see a definition of "eligible flight" within the same T&C and am worried that may be the exclusion of non-cash flights. |

I'm not aware of any distinction being made between Cash and Award tickets (the only clause I've seen has been no access for employee nonrev)

AA doesn’t usually check through luggage for overnight domestic connections >12 hours. Regardless, you will have access on arrival but may have to travel back from Terminal D (FL) to the terminal you arrived at to retrieve your bags for the night.

Thanks changed flight to be 11 hour connection so hopefully that will be ok. For such a short layover really don't want the hassle of re-checking in the next morning

Will arrival from CTG give access to flagship lounge at MIA?
Continuing Same day on domestic AA flight thank you. |

No, Colombia is not a valid destination for FL access, you need deep South America.
Thank you for this. So will not waste time at the flagship lounge trying to figure why we don’t have access! |

Correct, don't waste your time with the FL. Assuming you're in business class (or have PLT or above status) then you can use either of the Admirals Clubs at MIA during your connection.
Will try to get in to the admirals club lounge. |

We were able to use the D-30 Admirals club. No lines to get in at the 6PM hour. Two good things - We were able to find nice window seats! The vegan soup and Guacamole were quite good! We actually enjoyed this Admirals club visit. Funny part (not used to MIA transit) - Came out of security near D-26; Looked to the right-side and noticed arrows pointing "up" in order to get to the D_30 Admirals club. Went two levels up and discovered that is the "sky train" :D Then came down and walked to D-30. |

That's the general problem with 2-dimensional signs, isn't it. An arrow pointing directly up usually means "forward". When they want to say "up", it's a problem. Maybe someday they'll get clever and use 3-D.
Looking at it as I was approaching it, it appeared that it was pointing directly at the path ahead, so I kept walking past the sign. Turns out it meant that my gate was behind me and I was walking in the opposite direction the whole time. |
Would it be more helpful for the symbol for up to be a line diagram of stairs with an arrow heading diagonally up? And for down to be line diagram of stairs with an arrow heading diagonally down?
