Yep, in all likelihood that’s what will happen imho.

Will I Have Access to the Flagship J Lounge at DFW?

Question regarding whether I will (or should) have access to the Flagship J lounge at DFW. I'm scheduled to fly CVG-DFW-OGG. When I booked it a few months ago the webpage said "Flagship" and even a dummy booking now for the same route/flights shows "Flagship Available." And per the wiki, the route I'm flying qualifies (DFW-OGG) **BUT** my ticket receipt shows "First" (screenshot below) as the "Class", not "Business" or "Flagship Business."

If I have time to go to the Flagship Lounge at DFW during my layover and attempt to access the lounge, will my ticket being coded as "First" be an issue or this is a known thing?

Just flew AA119 last week and entered with no issues (boarding pass coded as First). As long as it remains the Boeing 787 plane with lie flat First/Business your boarding pass with appropriate seat assignments are sufficient (no additional status required)

Hawaii-DFW routes count as FLL routes. Don’t forget to just sleep on the way back and get breakfast/shower at the lounge rather than eating the in flight offering.

That's what I figured but appreciate the confirmation and the data point. Hopefully I go out of D (or come into D on my inbound) at DFW and have time to visit the Flagship Lounge. My layover at DFW is 2 hours.

We are in J (on DL in Delta One) via HNL then DTW coming back. But I've never slept well on the returns from HI, even when in lie-flats. Part of it is I think the departures back to the mainland often leave too early and are landing right around the time I'm finally wanting to fall asleep after having adjusted to Hawaii time. I've tried many different tactics from waking up earlier and trying to be tired on the flight to taking melatonin to sleeping in as late as I can and just trying to think of it as getting a nap. Nothing works. I was tempted to do a HI-West Coast daytime flight, overnight at a hotel in LA or SFO or SEA and then fly back to Ohio on Saturday (and I've done this before with a couple day extended stay in SEA) but Mrs. ATOBTTR wanted to be home by late morning on Saturday instead of Saturday evening so she could watch college football. :p

I am AA EXP and also I just got OW Sapphire with a non-US airline. My boarding passes show my AAdvantage number as I prefer to credit mileage to AA. In order to access any US Flagship lounge should I just show my OW non-US Sapphire status, in addition to the boarding pass?

Yes. We have done this with BA Sapphire status while crediting to AA. Never an issue.

Cheers.

I'm coming up to a similar situation, but in my case, I have no tier on BA yet, (well Blue), and will be crediting an upcoming BA flight to my BAEC #. Showing my AA status via the AA app should suffice to get access to the AA FLs on my routing, correct?

It's been a long time since I've dealt with this. I think I know the answer, but would like to double-check.

The Mrs and I are flying JFK-CDG-JFK in business. I am 2MM Platinum. She has no status. We are flying with friends who will be flying in the main cabin.

In the past I recall, perhaps incorrectly, that business class passengers could bring guests into the lounge. I just read the rules and it seems that only those in First can bring a guest. Did I read that correctly?

Thanks in advance.

J can't guest in anyone; you can guest someone in as a oneworld Sapphire through your lifetime status. if you have enough miles you could give your wife platinum status for the day using the enhance with miles option + she could guest another of your friends in?

As I thought. 3/4 of us could get in. Thanks

Could anyone clarify the access policy for MIA? I am a BA GGL travelling CUN-MIA-LHR (and onwards) tomorrow, with one guest (BA Gold but not GGL). I will be in J throughout, first flight is AA operated, second flight is BA operated.

Thanks!

As BA Golds it will of course be no problem to access the Flagship Lounge in MIA.

Ah sorry, I should have said in my original message - I am wondering if I/we get access to FFD?

FFD is separate. What Business fare are you on, if on Business Plus then yes, otherwise no.
