Just made EXP / Executive Platinum! Resources, ask questions, brag (2017+)
First, a hearty welcome to Executive Platinum status!
New Executive Platinum members, whether "self-made", via your Concierge Key nomination or made by AA offers, including challenges, to similar status holders from competing airlines, often have questions about how the program works.
Feel free to post your questions here, but also be aware many of your questions about American Airlines, AAdvantage and Executive Platinum status can be answered in these resources:

"Executive Platinum members get 4 systemwide upgrades when qualifying or re-qualifying. You can earn up to 4 more systemwide upgrades; 2 at 150,000 EQMs and 2 at 200,000 EQMs." https://www.aa.com/i18n/aadvantage-p...e-upgrades.jsp
So now you can fly twice as much to get the same number of SWUs as before.

I already got 2 at 150K, they came thru quick,
I will probably finish with 190K (ATL to BOM) in early November, then I am done,
wish AA would have roll over miles like DL (that is probably the only thing DL does better than AA)

Hit EXP on September 28, by far the earliest date ever and fewest segments ever, thanks to a DONE5 earlier this year.
EQD = 15,117
EQM = 102,134
EQS = 31

First time as EXP for me. I was Chairmans Preferred on US a few times, but mostly through promotions and FTD EQMs.
Clocked in Oct. 3 with 19,295 EQD and 100,061 EQM.
Learned the benefits of paid first when I didn't have enough miles to take myself and wife to Hawaii, so she flew on miles, and I flew on dollars. The lightbulb went off when I saw the EQMs post!
Took my first RTW trip, but the LONE3 booking didn't garner as many miles as I hoped, with 0.5 EQM on AY.

I received the email from AA pushing me to achieve EXP as I was doing a LGA-DFW-ANC run at 72K - a trip to PHX, ORD and DFW/AUS will put me over the top by late November.

Made EXP again (as of Sept 1st)... or should I say a mix of US Chairman / AA EXP since 2002... Seemed easier this year, but I am buying all FC rather than waiting for the UG window to open
