The bagels are very good at PHX low A concourse. They are big ones--not the little skimpy ones they used to have. My only complaint is they don't source low fat philly cream cheese.

Baked potato cream cheese (one of the best I think) and chicken noodle in DCA yesterday.
Also, the PB&J snack mix with peanuts and raisins and jelly candy they have now is also quite good.

So - what qualifies as a house drink? I just realized for 10+ years I have been using those chits for Cokes, Sam Adams draft beer! Is draft beer complimentary? Or just lower shelf beer (Bud, Coors)?

House wine - one red and one white. Usually a cab or merlot and a chardonnay
House liquor. Don't ask the brands, they're awful but there is a free well option for all - rum, bourbon, tequila, vodka, gin. Again, could make a real upgrade by offering midshelf options like Finlandia, Jack, etc for free like Delta
I only use chits for (1) bottles of water to go or sparkling waters or (2) a nicer midshelf drink like Makers, etc
Cokes, sodas, juices etc are all free

Damn - I must have wasted dozens of chits over the years on things like Coke, Bud (when other brands unavailable). Funny thing is that not a single bartender ever volunteered to explain that, despite my tipping them.

to be fair, there was definitely a time when ACs didn't away give free alcohol while Delta always has. I don't know when it changed but it was at least 7 or 8 years ago..

I am equally perplexed by those that try to "get their monies worth." You have a taste for something or not, value shouldn't be a consideration. I still like Old Style and if on a hot summer day I want one, I get one.

LGA-C had tomato and grilled cheese or a chimimchurri soup last week (same as a couple months ago). ORD has the most boring and infrequent soup rotations I find

Those were still the two selections at DFW on Friday August 25. You're right, they've both had a long run and it's time to swap them out for something different.
