You don't. You be polite and realize that it is a lot easier for 10A and 10F to climb over you (you don't even have to get up) then it is for 10BC or 10DE to get up and empty out into the aisle.

Great, informative post.

But, as opposed to row 9, there is at least a window to lean against, instead of your seatrow-mate's shoulder if you try to sleep. Row 9 effectively has 2 aisle seats.

Also, 10A and F is very, very cold imo. Power outlets in both rows 9 and 10, though.

Upgrades aside, I'd rank my 757 preferences as:

1. Row 9BCDE
2. Row 10AF
3. All bets are off from here

I agree that these planes are pretty much bottom of the barrel, but unfortunately used exclusively on the routes I fly.

I think that it is not polite to wake me up rather that 10A/10F's seatmates.

Row 9 Domestic 757

Row 9-is it too difficult to see the television monitors on the domestic 757? Do you like this row?

Even if you have a good angle those monitors are so old that the picture quality is not great. Not quite black and white, but certainly not HD.

That is my prefered row in coach. I like to get D or E, in case boarding is through the door at row 9 (in which case those in B and C must stand and wait until everyone boards the flight.)

Best seat on 757 with MCE installed?

I was reading this thread and decided to chose 9d&e for my up coming ski trip with my fiancé. Logged in to make the change and was happily surprised to see that the plane has MCE installed. Then checked my solo Vegas trip and that too now has MCE. I am flying solo so thought I would be better in 10f.

What I am wondering is how the new MCE setup affects the opinions previously presented in this thread?

Row 18 is not MCE but it is better than row 17.

The seat is green rated. This seat should be rated yellow or red IMO. For a guy who is 6'4" this seat was horrible. We should have selected 9 D and E.

For our return only one seat in 9 is available but seats in 18 are available. 18 is all green rated but should I trust Seat Guru?

Thoughts?

Can anyone tell me if 18F has enough leg room to allow me to get up and to the isle without disturbing those in D & E?

Please offer advice. I will be flying internationally tomorrow on a 757. As of now, we are seated in 10D and 10E (aisle and middle). When I booked these seats, AA told me that the row is an exit row. I flew on this plane last week and noticed that row 10 (other than the window) didn't seem to have too much extra legroom other than that window seat.

I noticed that row 18 is open and is marketed as an exit row. We could sit in 18D and 18E. Which seats are better in terms of space and legroom? Row 10 or 18? Please advise!

With MCE, you gain absolutely nothing by picking an exit row. In fact, I'd say the e-row is worse, because you get those immobile armrests with the crappy folding tray table. I'd go with any other row in the MCE section.
