@love_to_travel

While the second A380 rollout was cool, I think this Airbus video of the blue Honu that I posted upthread is fantastic.

Seen taxiing on AC 4 on Mar 31 at NRT

If only I had been taxiing out on this beauty instead...in J at least of course... :-D

(Apologies for the fuzzy image - long range with an iPhone camera through a not-so-clean window)

Exclamation

Doing some remote spotting. This young turtle wants to go flying. So far I have noticed only a couple of taxi runs between T1 and T2. Waiting to see if they go out again later after traffic has subdued.

They don't seem to plan to get real passengers onboard during April. At least on any KIX runs.

April will be KIX training runs until the end of this month. No passengers.
Same flight numbers every day. NH9121/ NH9122 NRT KIX NRT.

Green Honu still on the ground in Hamburg. Only two flights are planned this month.
Then they will ferry her to Toulouse for further testing by Airbus test pilots before delivery.

I doubt they will have passenger flights before the second Turtle is in Narita.

I left NRT last night (4/8/19) and saw the Blue Honu in about the same spot that Marlin240 saw it. I took a picture but I'm not sure how to post it. They were also selling 1:200 replicas of the Blue and Orange Honus (but not the Green Honu for some reason, maybe the eye?) in the ANA duty free shop. I didn't buy one because it would take up too much space to display and because it was ¥14,000 ($125 / €110). I did buy keychains of the 3 Honus on my last trip in February though. Only 45 days till I fly the Blue Honu!

They will have 1:100 scale models. You might even get one free as you will be in Business Class or maybe they will have them free for First Class only. I am not sure. ANA is not Singapore Airlines and true inaugurals were a long time ago in 2006.
110 Euros for a scale model is steep even though the quality of ANA models is superb. I would only buy a 1:100. Maybe they will have them as duty free on board merchandise.
