I have seen the photos and I cannot wait to fly in one. I also love roller coasters. When I am on those rides I just have my arms straight up in the air and laugh uncontrollably. Just sayin.....

your sick my friend !!!! as for me the jury is out on the Max. I think they need to stop production turn them into freighters and design a replacement at this point in time AB is eating their lunch and will for many years.

In service date would be ~2024 (unless the dates slip yet again). That's one or possibly two more cycles of maintenance problems the Q seems to go through every couple of years, aging frames... like I said totally baseless speculation.

It maybe my luck but I am seeing that bad cycle of maintenance issues with the Q in the past six month, we all have seen that picture show before. Having said that there is the cost factor of replacing the Q with all jets. I am simply happy to have most of my flying in and out of Boise 175 option especially to SAN.

If QX were to go all-jet, they would have to be getting a crazy good deal from Mitsubishi to introduce another type instead of just buying more Embraers.

(moving to the Bored Room since this is getting a little off of the flame free question thread)

I wonder if the bank would think this is worth a loan?
Cheaper than I would have thought and the RDM would be enough for ~15 RT First Class trips on CX or JL. For ~$30K, you could go zero to 2MM inside of a year. I see a Patreon opportunity.

ETA: I see the cost calculations were off by a factor of 10. Just need to increase the Patreon goal then.
