I like supporting the FT community, and it seems like OF will probably get to the level of FlightMemory eventually (feature-wise), so perhaps I'll focus on OpenFlights for now.

(Truth is, I'll probably enter both as I certainly will have plenty of time alone in my hotel room every week...)

Hey folks. Hope you're all having fun this weekend.

Quick question for which there is no need, IMO, to start a separate thread.

We are on a FC and companion pass RT LAX/DCA/LAX next month.

I know we can get into the LAX BR with the FC BPs.

My question is on the return from DCA to LAX which uses the DL Sky Club. It says admittance to BR members only which we are not except for the FC tickets on this flight.

Will we get any hassle from the DL folks at DCA?

Thanks...

This is what the AS website says under the Board Room locations:

Washington, D.C. - Reagan National Airport (DCA)
Delta Sky Club

Club Room members must have a valid ticket for same-day travel on Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines or Northwest Airlines. Immediate family or two guests may accompany the member if traveling on Delta or Northwest.

Location: Concourse B, Level 3

Hours: Sun-Fri: 5:15 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Sat: 5:15 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The the next paragraph says this:

Delta Air Lines Sky Clubs®

Board Room members with same day travel on Delta Air Lines or Northwest Airlines have access to all Sky Club locations. Two guests -or- spouse and children under 21 may accompany the member.

Board Room members with same day travel on Alaska Airlines have access to the Delta Sky Club locations excluding guest privileges.

It's unclear to me if AS pax with FC boarding passes who belong to neither the Board Room or the Sky Club are allowed to use the DCA DL Sky Club.

I had no idea what a cluster.... the Horizon gate area at SEA is. Guess I'll have to buy a board room membership before I get the MVP discount.

I'm almost positive that you will only have access to the AS Board Rooms. I looked briefly and couldn't find it, but I believe it states that somewhere on their website.

That is correct. An AS F ticket will not get you into a Sky Club unless you are very lucky.

Helpful hint: if you see the FA trying to "collect" them for takeoff, stash the bottle behind your back.

Yeah, I've probably got sixty or so left. The rabble from C keep pilfering them when they come over. They need to learn to use the lav in the back, too!!!

Please remember..water equals poop!!!!!

Usually 15-20 or so on hand. I almost never drink them on the plane and end up taking them home. Very convenient when I'm just out for a short bit and don't want to carry a big bottle.

I kind of prefer the aft lav. Due to the curvature of the plane, the lav by the flight deck has less headroom. Nearly break my back when I gotta pee

On a flight from ONT to SEA this week the FA told us she heard AS was going to discontinue handing out the water bottles soon and go with just serving in glasses. I liked getting the bottles, if I did not drink on the plane they were very handy for taking with me on the job.
