Why wouldn't it be? It's winter - lots of people like to go to Florida this time of year. Fort Lauderdale is also a big cruise port and it wouldn't surprise me if Alaska has some carriage contracts with the cruise companies like they do to/from Alaska in the summer time.

AS109 SEA-ANC 2/7/15. at 1 hour before departure i'm 6 of 24 on the upgrade list as MVPG. I did accept a low fare guarantee but flight only had a few teal seats taken at the time i got the credit

AS98 ANC-SEA 2/8/15. at around 5 hour before departure i'm 1 of 3 on upgrade list for 1 bulkhead seat. I called to get removed from the upgrade list as there are 5 or 6 fully empty rows and i'd die (figuratively) in bulkhead. My name still appears on the list.

AS33 PDX-BOS 2/9/15 currently #3 on the upgrade list for 2 seats. #1 and 2 are a couple so i could clear,. Hoping I can keep row 6 which currently has an open middle

2/11/15 SEA - PHL AS32 75k T-120.

Still waiting for the way back there are 4 seats left but no (U) upgrade. It seems that everyone else is getting upgraded T120 out, I just have to see.

#11 out of 74

2/9 SEA -> EWR AS 8 #11 of 74 (no upgrade)

Departure was delayed about two hours. I am pretty sure that there were 76 on the upgrade list at one point, but a couple must have dropped out.

I wonder how many 75K'ers are on this flight?

It looks like my upcoming SEA-PHL that I think was wide open in F back in December when I booked it is now F0 and the 75K hasn't even opened....I know it happens, but I've never seen F0 before ANY of the upgrade windows opened...oh well...I knew my 100% upgrade rate was going to be broken sometime...

Another storm was due on the East Coast, so flights will be crazy for a few days.

Less than 48 hours out still have not cleared with 2 seats left. I got the feeling there will be a very long upgrade list at the gate and no seats for (U).

Ditto. Cleared the outbound on the same flight and same day T-120. However, no go on the upgrade for the return. I might just cxl this reservation since I have a few more MRs to PHL and BWI in the next few weeks. The return flight in Y is brutal after flying the outbound.

2/4/2014 phl-sea MVPG cleared sometime between T72 and T48.

I was on your outbound flight, but did not clear. Return flight next day didnt get upgraded either but the flight was light so I had an entire exit row to myself. Going east to west on a xcountry is always brutal. Regardless of seat.

2/10 EWR -> SEA AS 11 #2 of 15 Upgrade!

Perhaps it was the weather, but there were only 15 people on the upgrade list when we departed. In fact, the gate agent instructed all passengers to sit in their assigned seats and (not move forward) as we were in a "light load" situation.

Anyway, I started the day #3 on the upgrade list. #1 got upgraded, then dropped off the list. Three more people got upgraded, including me. I even got to select between 4A and 3D.

Now 7 out of 8 for the year!

Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket?

2/13 SMF-SEA (AS 367) Upgraded at T-21 MVP
2/16 SEA-SMF (AS 370) upgraded at T-3 MVP

Now at 4 for 5 on upgrades. If I can keep this up, I'll probably switch all my crediting to AS.

2/14 AS 415 PDX-SEA T-9 (SDC from the 6:30am QX to the 7am AS and got the upgrade instantly)
2/14 AS 32 SEA-PHL 7 out of 14ish for 1 seat although F=0 at both the 75K and MVPG windows...thought this would be a slam dunk when I booked it last December but not even 75Ks got upgraded at the window...first missed upgrade this year
2/15 AS 27 PHL-SEA T-72
2/15 AS 414 SEA-PDX 6 out of 12ish for 1 seat...kinda feel like a loser not getting upgraded on this one
