1/20/15 PHL-SEA cleared at 24 hrs. Beginner question - This is my first time ever getting upgraded. I do not see myself on the upgrade list for the earlier SEA-PHL flight even though on AS website it says I am on the list. Is there some coding of the names I don't understand?

You will not be able to see your place on the list until you've checked-in within 24hours of departure.

I think you win the award for the lowest upgrade %....what was it for 2014?? Mine was 100% as an MVP (and MVPG by December).

Just under 50% for 2015 due to a strong finish. It's just tough on the SEA-ANC run.

You've got that right. ANC-SEA and SEA-ANC are two routes I'll consider using a Gold Guest Upgrade on if I'm going to have another long flight after it. Or even consider paying the price difference to a fare that's eligible for an instant upgrade. And will check the loads to try to select a less-popular flight time.

Tougher than SEA-EWR?? Is it just me or does it seem that lots of folks have been clearing on transcons lately (with the possible exception of EWR)?? PHL, BWI, DCA, TPA, BOS....all seem to be clearing, especially for MVPG and 75K.

1/23; SEA to SAN, #490, no UGs @ the 72 hr mark, still three empty seats.
We are both MVPGs.
One UG @ the gate after pointing out to the GA that there was still one unassigned seat in FC.

PHL, BWI, BOS, and maybe TPA aren't that hard to clear. I've been on a weekend DCA-LAX flight where even DL elites cleared

1/17/15 SEA-LAS AS 616 MVPG+Companion Upgrade cleared at T-72 hours. First went out full with 15+ on waitlist.

1/20/15 SLC_PDX AS 715 MVPG+Companion Upgrade cleared at T-72 hours.
First went out with 1C empty, Allegiant Airlines First Officer in 1F and nobody on the waitlist. Several people boarded when elites were called and sat in back, I assume AA elites?
