Approved
Woke up to the email when I was just about to pay a big purchase. Great timing! Approved and got the 5k extra miles. Now my mind is going about the Ascent since it is different than the base Alaska card. What are BOA’s rules about two different card types? They have been very lenient in the past.
Anyone trying to do both Summit and Ascent? Could see them possibly flagging this if too close together.

I want the summit card, and currently have the signature card. However, I don’t want 2 BOFA credit cards with annual fees, but I also don’t want to lose the 10 years of credit history I have with the signature card by closing the account… if I apply for summit and get approved, can I downgrade my signature card to something without an annual fee?
other suggestions welcome!

No. With other cards I got a digital number right away but not this one so far.

I'd like to take a moment to appreciate that this card has ZERO coupon book juggling and absolutely no credits to manage. Probably the easiest premium travel card ever to own in terms of mental load and the easiest decision chart ever made:
Do you live in an Alaska hub and travel with a P2 with any regularity on AS?
If Yes, card is at least worth for SUB.
If No, card is not worth it

FWIW, I was able to call in and get the card expedited for delivery in 1-2 days via UPS Overnight.

The Global 25K Companion Award is valid for up to 25,000 Atmos™ Rewards points off a published award ticket when the Primary Cardholder redeems points for travel and is traveling with another guest on a published award ticket on the same itinerary.
Interesting that it's a discount of 25k miles and not a companion ticket for 25k miles. Given the increasing costs of award redemptions, this seems disappointing.
