It still gives many opportunities to use the offer on intra-european flights + you can split it over several flights. So it's not too bad in my opinion.

Amex offer on my af/kl gold and platinum : double miles in July (10 and 15 miles extra on purchase from 01 to 31/07).
Only available on main card
By the way, did they have removed the « chat option» on the app to reach customer service for basic question ?

DCC is not supported on AMEX network, regardless of card versions/origins.

I had an AF/KLM Platinum card for 6 years. Because of their insurance "downgrade" effective April 1st, I downgraded my card from an AF/KL Platinum Amex to a Gold AF/KLM Amex.
Well, today I learned that even though I continuously have paid an annual fee, this year I will receive NO XP bonus.
This seems quite ridiculous.
When I called they said "it's based on your anniversary, which won't happen until next year".
Amex France just can't seem to find more ways to piss off its customers....
Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry for perhaps asking the obvious, but what were the insurance downgrades? I like to check that with the Nl version.
Due to the pandemic, I got difficulties to travel home and AXA has written to me that now after 120d I will no longer be insured for car rental, luggage, flights etc. I will only be insured for emergencies.
I now have a VISA Infinite card from France and they have confirmed to me that I will be insured by their schedule. VISA uses AXA as well.
