Actually the offer was a bit broken, IT-wise.
The mail I received had a "register" button which led to an error page. I logged in again on amex.com, went to the "current offers" page: nada. Then I noticed that the offer was actually already activated on my account.
You might want to check the "offers" page on americanexpress.com while logged in. It could very well be there.

Just checked on site and on the app, and no such offer.
Maybe in relation with the fact that I already negotiated my next year suscription for free. I am pretty sure they propose oriented offers according to your historical.

Past experience: Last time I used this promo in 12/2020, it applied for non France departing flights*. Maybe a glitch in the IT but saved me 450eur.
*whereas sales conditions were the same that the current ones.

Seems to be a good way to get gift card with 10% discount?
i guess that any ticket booked for flight before yearend can then be converted in voucher of the same value ?
#Shopsmall is back as well 5€ every 20€ in small shop like last year. Valid 5x.
not a huge amount but still 25% at groceries, beer shops around home.

That said, last time they did this offer, about 75 % of the flights I booked were canceled and refunded, yet they never tried to get the 10% back.

Gift cards are processed by another company, if I'm not mistaken. Thus it will probably not count for the offer... I also wondered how Amex's insurances would be valid or not when buying gift cards and then using them on AF flights. Probably not valid, so I mostly used those on domestic flights where it does not matter for me
