The temporary address on World tracer is the Paris address with an end date of 25 JUL.

FWIW the delayed bag reimbursement for essentials is not actually speedy at all. It's been almost a month and the claim is still "being processed" with them not able to give me any idea of when to expect our reimbursement for leaving our bags on the tarmac directly next to the plane (I actually have photos from my seat of my bags right next to the luggage belt machine!) but not putting them on the plane.

Just in case anyone is curious it took 2 full months to get any response to my delayed baggage claim. Which Air France then denied the claim on the basis that the Air France operated flight I was on was not operated by Air France. ::sigh:: I didn't understand it either but that's what they kept saying after I followed up.

Eventually had to open a request with Delta (which is whose points I used to book the original ticket) including the Air France denial and Delta paid out after only 5 days.

Looking for advice if there is anything I could do more:

Flying VIE-CDG-CPT, checked two bags under my name in Vienna.
CPT flight cancelled at CDG, rerouted with Qatar Airways a few hours later after we were supposed to be on AF direct.
Bags did not came in CPT. QR desk at CPT told me no record of me having bags and since I checked with AF, I should claim with them. AF contractor at CPT airport did not want to do anything as we came in on QR. Contacted AF via WhatsApp and created delayed baggage reference number. For me it does not work on website but it can be seen by AF workers in the system.

72 hours later, no info about the bags, only that I created claim in CPT (over WA). Plat line escalated it yesterday with a promise they will let me know more today - they did not. After reaching PSL again, all same, we are trying to locate your bags (how hard it can be at CDG?). Pretty sure they did not forward them to QR so they are not in DOH nor around T1.

Girlfriend loosing it over lost clothing, me loosing it over daily trips to Zara as we try to buy only really basic clothing that we need. And I miss my tennis rocket which finally could do decent one handed backhand (pretty sure it was always about the rocket, not about my hand).

No AirTag so I can not locate it myself.

Any idea what I can do differently, who to contact other then cashier at Zara tmrw again?

Air France also lost my bags at CDG this week. They did reappear after 36 hours so I feel lucky. But apparently something is going on with luggage at CDG because my best friend also got luggage lost for two days this week transiting at CDG.

I hope your luggage is found!

What happened at CDG?
Did AF say they will automatically reroute them on QR? Was AF872 cancelled last minute? AF872 has not been cancelled in the past 7 days.
A lot of things can have happened. Assuming that AF retagged your bags, they would typically add tags to your existing Vienna-tags. If they retagged all the pax of of AF872, that will take time, then transfer to T1. Could be that they arrived too late and QR sent them on a later flight/day. But you don't have the QR tag number. AF should have it in your dossier and could give you the tag number.

In those cases it is important to file a missing bag claim at the arrival airport, including the tag number and you get assigned a Worldtracer case number. Did you get such a worldtracer number when you filed by Whatsapp? BTW I wonder why you could not use the usual procedure to file a claim.

It could be that QR sent them on a later flight and the bags are in CPT waiting for you. The last airline you used is usually responsible for the search. You should contact QR CPT again. Even if you do not have a QR tag number, you should include a precise description of the bags.

Good luck

AF872 on the 16th was cancelled at 6pm (one hour after scheduled departure) and moved to the other day. I didnt want to stay in Paris so we were rebooked by agent at the airport for QR.

The process of filing report about missing bags is described above. QR told me no record as AF didnt transfer them, AF is trying to find them (I have the world tracer CPTAFxxxxx that doesnt work on the website but when I call in they can see something under it - last info only that I created it tho after landing at CPT (did that over WhatsApp).

I will contact QR at CPT again, thank you.

So the bags are in Paris, found on the 18th at 11:30am. PSL told me sit tight and wait as the reason why they were not sent might be limited space in cargo hold on 2 last flights to CPT......They contacted baggage services in Paris to load them but without response & action as bags are still in Paris. This is very annoying as 2 direct flights already took off, one is taking off in a few hours.

Holiday season, so people tend to travel with more luggage and for sure they are not unloading paid cargo to accommodate your bags. They prefer to reimburse your expenses leaving you with a bad feeling.

A point to add from someone who has been through this over 15 times.

Whenever you get rebooked, especially on a connection other than the one the system initially rebooked you on, your bag tags need to be manually updated in the system. It has never happened to me automatically. I always go to the lounge or other ground staff and have them update the tags in the system.

As Plat, your expenses should be reimbursed within no more than a week. If bag hasnt arrived yet, buy yourself something nice that can be a necessity. Let them feel the pain.

I knew there would be trouble the second I asked to be rebooked to anything available the same night.
I did expect to at least know where the bags are once we landed in CPT.

interestingly, I got involved a person from LP team through some kind of connection I have with AF and received text message and email that bags been located and are to be shipped onto next available flight to CPT. AF locator does not work, now I also have QR locator that says bags are under tracing. LP agent told me bags are en route via DOH and will arrive today with QR flight. Funny enough, when I texted WA support about the bags, they dont see anything other than just locating the bagsthis is messand mess is yet to continue as I imagine AF will say QR needs to reimburse me for clothing as they lost itQR hasnt pick up any phone, answered any mail nor connected me to online chat. Now my fianc demands private jet for our annual leave to CPT.

According to FR24, AF782 on 16/12 ended up not cancelled but with a departure delayed by 4 hours at 21:31 (instead of 17:00). It landed at 9:08 (at gate probably 9:20 instead of 05:50). Three daily AF782s have been delayed by 3h or more in the past week.

My guess is that a longer delay was announced ahead of time, and that you preferred to change to another flight. Or something else happened.

Regarding who and what the airlines will pay is a good question.
Your ticket has been changed to a QR ticket, so QR should be responsible. That is amplified by the fact that the bags are to be routed on QR (assuming the PSL agent as correct info). Anyway, the last airline is always assumed to be responsible as per a common agreement among most airlines.

I fly QR a lot. It is a great airline in the skies, but a very bad one to forking out any compensation for such events. Claims just get unanswered except for an acknowledgement mail.

FR24 is wrong, flight and the plane that was scheduled took off on the 17th. Bags are in CPT per LP team since yesterday. Waiting for someone to deliver to me.

Look at the routing/timing of F-HTYO around that time and ask yourself if it's possible.
