For some reason I also believe that the level of “gift” you receive in the lounge is subject to what customer class you belong to. I have heard about full fare cash passengers receiving multiple items without asking.

What do you guys think? Is there a differentiation by “customer class” within La Première?
absolutely, they know the details of your status, if this is a full fare, upgrade or prime ticket, and they have also an history on at least your last 6 months travel with AF.

They are not entitle to private escort at arrival .
Noticed the same as well
And as a C2000 Ulti, I am always asked first to choose lunch or dinner

Regarding gifts in the lounge, it's only based on what you ask. On my > 20 flights in P, the few times I received some goodies, i asked for them upfront

Wow that is a lot. What is this info supposed to be good for though? Is it only the order of meal choices?

PVG is still operating via ICN. P isn’t sold to ICN though.

My first trip in LP…

Departure JFK - used the VIP lane (as a note, this is only available until 6PM) and was whisked through with the assistance of the most lovely LP team member. I was the only P pax on my flight, so had the P lounge and cabin to myself, which added a little extra magic. The Laurent Perrier rosé in the lounge, was icy cold and a lovely way to kick off the adventure.

I usually do not take the meal on overnights, but did have some champagne (Pommery Cuvée Louise 2004) and cheese. I did not realize there was no caviar eastbound. Not a big deal, but had been looking forward to it.

Arrival CDG - car waiting on the tarmac. Escorted through the J cabin to exit, which felt slightly awkward as they held the other pax back. Whisked through immigration and to the waiting car. Lovely driver, clean car (Mercedes sedan) and easy ride into Paris at that hour.

Departure CDG - a couple of “glitches” on the pre-departure:
  • Ready to Fly - Had a concern on the paperwork for my eMed/BinaxNow test which showed the time in UTC so the date was “incorrect.” Did not hear from RTF, even after reaching out to the LP line, so retested locally at 6PM to make sure there were no issues. A little unnecessary stress. Would be a nice touch to prioritize the RTF response for LP pax.
  • Hertz DriveU - Driver wore a vented mask and took a very long (and unfamiliar) route out of Paris. Perhaps does not seem like a big deal, however as a solo traveler whose cell phone service was nonexistent at the time, stressful.
All of this faded away immediately upon arrival at CDG. Such a warm welcome, lovely to sit in the reception area in the middle of a very busy CDG morning. And then one of the trip highlights for me - the super easy detaxe directly with customs agents (aka “Private PABLO”)

Lounge CDG - OMG. Early flight, so the lounge was not busy. The team here is stellar. No detail too small. My œufs brouillés were perfectly cooked, on par with those at Le Meurice or the Ritz. During the pre-departure formalities I had been asked whether I wanted to take the car or walk to the gate (as with the car, there would be stairs and they could not promise to help with my bags on the stairs.) Later, an LP team member in the Lounge said “of course we will take your bags on the stairs, you have to take the car!” As it turned out, there were no stairs, but his kindness on this was one the many niceties throughout. Will definitely leave for CDG earlier next trip to have a little more lounge time.

One note - I had seen in reviews and posts here that there were upgraded champagnes to be had (e.g. Krug) however was told there were none, only VC rosé and BdR. Went with the VC rosé.

In-flight - full cabin, 3 pax, 1 AF employee. I have a specific food allergy and they were unable to inform me of the allergens in the various dishes, so stuck to the safe choices - caviar, champagne (again the Cuvée Louise 2004) salad & cheese. Next time I would ask beforehand for details on the allergens to enjoy a cooked entrée. (I do not order allergy specific meals as they are usually terrible and prefer not to create waste, but maybe should try once for LP. ☺️) To this end, the FA brought me various snacks and juices to try to work around the allergy. These touches mean a lot.

Arrival JFK - Greeted at the plane door, by yet another fabulous LP team member, who walked me through immigration (and as this was my first trip in some time, was helpful with the new GE method) waited 10-15 minutes or so for bags (first off after crew bags) and then waited with me until the Uber arrived.

Tl;dr - there are not enough superlatives for the LP teams both on the ground and in-flight, JFK and CDG. Utmost kindness from every corner. I will float on the memories of the experience for some time. And many thanks to everyone here who’s posted their LP details, all this info added to the experience.

With a full cabin (less the one employee), were there three different escorts who met you at the plane door? When I arrived in JFK (paid ticket in F class) in a cabin with 3 pax a few years ago, I "shared" one of the escorts with one other pax who also had a checked bag (IIRC, the 3rd pax had carry-on only and had a different escort). But basically I was ignored while the escort and the other pax conversed in French like old friends while we walked toward immigration. I went to go through Global Entry anyway and then I just felt weird about meeting up with the escort and the other pax when they got to the baggage claim while we waited for bags. Like what was I supposed to have the escort do for me at that point? Left a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth at the end of the trip.

After picking me up, the LP escort had a list and checked in with Pax A who was waiting on the jet bridge for a friend in J. Pax A declined the escort. I did not notice whether Pax B had an escort (and did not see them once I disembarked.) Once through immigration, we were joined in baggage claim by another LP team member, I imagine there to further assist one of the two of us, had Pax A not declined.

I never thought they served much of a purpose at JFK so I'd just leave that feeling behind.

Well yeah, I haven't lost much sleep over it, lol. It was just a little odd of an experience. I suppose if I was getting into an AF-procured car service it might make more sense, but that wasn't being offered at the time.

I believe the answer to your question is visible here at around 7:48. It appears to be pre-formed on the plate.

Le P HERTZ Drive U

Last September the Hertz Drive U service cancelled at the last minute - got an Uber to JFK. Informed staff there. Hesitate to try again though it is a substantial savings over Empire CLS or a hotel provided driver - has anyone else had issues with this service?

There is currently no AF-provided transfer to/from JFK. From their emails on my recent trip, it sounds like they are looking for a new provider.

Right. It’s total BS though since it’s pretty easy to find a provider in NYC.

For one-off trips, sure (for the most part).
But for as many as 3-4 daily flights with F, both inbound and outbound pax = up to 32 rides/day. Probably not so easy to get guaranteed quality service.

This sounds amazing. I keep reading this forum to see what the experience is like because I'm a LP "virgin" and I'll be flying it in May. Just out of curiosity, what are some of the gifts they give out at the lounge?
