When does AF add ORY-AJA seasonal flights to the schedule? Currently bookable on XK metal only.

ETA: Just checked ITA matrix again, and see there are a few flights on AF metal here and there, but not the full complement as there was last summer (and none on the date I need for my outbound.)

ORY-AJA is not seasonal, it's year round.
CDG-AJA is seasonal

Good to know. The ORY-AJA flights on AF metal are much more sporadic than last summer. Is it possible they will add more, or is what is on the schedule now, what will be? And when might CDG-AJA be added? I have been holding off booking a connection from LP, as there is a difference in ground service AF metal vs. XK. Merci!

No idea if they will add more ORY flights (very possible as the traffic is very heavy to Corsica during the summer) and when CDG flights will be added. If you have the choice between AF and XK, AF is way better. XK FA are very lazy and often rude. Sorry to not be very helpful here...

AFKL rotations to China will ramp up next month.
From March 26th onwards:
CDG PEK, CDG PVG: 3x per week
CDG HKG: 3x per week

AMS PVG, AMS PEK: 6x per week
AMS HGK: 3x per week, now direct

Fares are still through the roof though.
PVG : 5k base rate in J; 1 500 € in Y.
Prepare to fork out 1200-1700 € for a R/T to HKG in Y, 6 000 € in J...

Alternatives to HK: CX for 3000 €-4500 € in J, 1000-1200 € in Y (both superior products IMHO).
If you want to drop 6k€, you can also get LX, LH and EK at this rate... Except you'll be in First instead of J

Spoke to lounge dragon at YOW Aspire Lounge today, who said that AF will be partnering with the lounge once their service begins. Not the biggest lounge so I could see it filling up completely when there are AF departures

It looks like they are increasing the frequency to 2 rotations daily this summer (7 July to 27 August), one in the morning and one in the evening:

AF7550 NCE 6:55 LHR 7:55
AF7551 LHR 8:55 NCE 11:55

AF7380 NCE 17:35 LHR 18:35
AF7381 LHR 19:45 NCE 22:45

The morning rotation (in bold) remains a year-round one.

T3 routes between UK and ORY

AF is advertising new routes from CWL, EMA and SOU to ORY and vv, operated by T3 (Eastern Airways): https://wwws.airfrance.co.uk/informa.../uk-new-routes. There are shown under T3 code rather than AF code, so perhaps just interlining rather than codesharing?

The timings for CWL-ORY on the page are obviously a typo. I would guess that the times are likely to be something like 14:50--> 17:35. It looks like this is all operated by the same ATR42 aircraft in a W-style pattern.

Interesting...the new FlyBe ?
Weird that there is no code-share because they are not listed as FB partner (yet ?). And ADP site knows nothing about those flights.

Eastern Airways has been established in the UK for quite some time. It is a much smaller operation than Flybe, though and used to operate some flights on behalf of Flybe under a franchise agreement. Size-wise, it would be more like former Stobart Air or CItyjet but, unlike these, it does operate flights under its own code rather than as franchisee for another operator.

New destination : AUH

AF launches a daily flight to AUH from 29 OCT. I should rather say re-launch, as AF served AUH in the past but that was many years ago (it was a continuation of DXB IIRC)
Aircraft : A350
AF638 : CDG 21h15, AUH 6h45 (+1)
AF639 : AUH 8h45, CDG 13h15

At that stage, I don't know if this flight will replace one of the 2 daily frequencies to DXB or if DXB will remain as it is

I wonder if this means a rekindling of the previous codeshare agreement with Etihad which was quietly sunsetted a few years back. The part that surprises me is they’re going daily from the get go!
