Great additions, but I am afraid they're being operated by A318 (according to air-journal.fr https://www.air-journal.fr/2021-08-0...e-5229614.html). In fact I believe the MUC flight had already been planned pre-COVID but never happened. Same for the Lufthansa flight that was planned on that route.

I confirm BER & MUC will be A318, as per AF communication. And yes, MUC was indeed planned before Covid but never happened (same for LH).

Not really new routes but route resumptions post Covid :
- FOR : re-starts on 22/10 (3 weekly)
- SEZ : re-starts on 23/10 (2 weekly)
- CPT : re-starts on 31/10 (3 weekly)
- HKG : re-starts on 05/11 (1 weekly)
- SEA : re-starts on 06/12 (3 weekly)
- MRU : re-started on 05/10 (7 weekly)

For the USA, by March 2022, AF intends to have an offer representing 90% of the 2019 one (it was 50% during summer 21).

With Singapore announcing a slow reopening to vaccinated travelers, AF has announced they will increase the number weekly flights to SIN from 1 to 3 (effective 21st October).

The 2 extra flights will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays in October and shift to Fridays and Sundays afterwards. All operated by 787-9. Only these 2 "VTL" flights are eligible for quarantine free, any purpose travel.

Just a disclaimer to those who are thinking of coming, life here is far from normal (masks, group size restrictions, no nightlife) but most attractions are still open with entry caps (kind of a blessing sometimes).

Thanks. What's the difference between a VTL and non-VTL flight ? Because I cannot imagine anyone non-vaccinated trying to fly to Asia.

Do you have any feedback about entering S’pore with the French vaccination certificate and its lack of middle names?

People entering the country through non-VTL flights must follow the normal covid entry procedure and go into quarantine on arrival. Vaccination is not mandatory, although it is becoming so for most visa holders. These flights are less restrictive so most transit passengers will probably take these flights.

VTL flights have a slew of restrictions such as travel history restrictions (must have only been in VTL approved countries during the 14 days preceeding flight). All purpose travel is only allowed for VTL flights, the entry authorisation system is different and so is the daily entry cap.

Lastly, the vaccination requirement means families with children will have to take non-VTL flights as there is no vaccination exemption for them. Very grumpy french expats who are all being crammed onto the first non-VTL flight after xmas.

Tl:dr its easier to enter through the VTL but harder to board the flight. It is harder to enter the country without the VTL but easier to board the flight.

Most people I know have managed to get it recognised. Some were required to show additional documents that show the lot number of each dose to get local certificates but that is it.

Presumably, the goverment is set to fully recognise EU certificates from the 18th of October. But it is unsure if that means they will be accepted as such (no need to convert to SG format) or if they will be readable with local scanners.
