I'd forward your concerns to AC, with flight details. At the very least the GA needs to be reminded of the way it needs to work.

Thanks Zorn - Yea, I think I will do that on this one. Will let you know what they say.

Cheers

The concierge was nice enough to switch me without charging a fee (On a Tango Plus Fare). When I got to the SE Check-in counter at YYZ I realized I had a bunch of SSWU certs and thought I would use one for this flight as they normally get stuck in a holding pattern and add 20 - 30 minutes to the flight. She said they would confirm at the gate. Sounds good - no worries. At the gate I just waited in the seat. Saw the GA arrive and 3 people swarm her with questions. Can't people just wait 5 minutes for them to log in, get settled and then come up? Anyway, the flight crew showed up and then a second flight crew (Pilot, FO, and FA). The FA asked if there was anything she could do to get him to sit with the Pilot and FO. She winked and said she would look into it. Needless to say - Those three ended up in J while I was not granted the upgrade. It was nice for the concierge to change the ticket without a fee - and for that I am grateful. But to have all 3 of them in J it does bother me. I may not have paid a J fare but I spend 10's of thousands of dollars with AC every year... Pilot in J... fine. FO in J... I can live with it. You've spent too much time on those benches in HK. It's "YIU".

viva la revolucion !

yeah, another revolution rooted on online-petition.com. i guess the next upheaval of the state won't start at a union meeting but facebook, right? another example of people who feel passionate about things they really don't understand

and that if it weren't for you we passengers would not be getting anywhere. I stated without us passengers you the "pilot" would not be going anywhere.

I don't feel I am owed anything such as a J seat when I've only paid Y.

I do feel every passenger should be treated as a valued customer... and all that mumbo jumbo when the pilot says "we know you have a choice in your travel today, thank you for flying with us" Remember we do have a choice!

Go for it! Fly on an airline THAT DOESN'T HAVE J CLASS :D:D:D:D

Call Centers, FA's

I thought that was what you meant: FAs are just glorified waitresses. I guess by that same logic, pilots are just glorified bus drivers, ATC are just glorified CB radio operators and the mechanics who keep the planes up in the air are just glorified grease monkeys.

The next time that Alice's Diner catches fire and has an emergency landing, I'll be sure to watch when the wait staff puts the fire out, evacuates the building, and performs first aid on any injured patrons.

I'm sorry this post has turned so sarcastic. It is not my intent to disparage wait staff, simply to point out that the two jobs are not comparable. Yes, most FAs, like wait staff, serve food. There the similarities end. I'll bet my tips that no person who compares FAs to wait staff ever leaves one.

Perhaps cheap European tourists do that too. What a miracle they survived dinner, I guess....

(Anyway, I haven't seen people clapping after landing in a while. But then I don't usually fly charters. And definitely not these Egyptian ones that crash more often than landing properly.)

I've given a gift to a crew two years ago thanking them for their service. Would this be equivalent to giving them tips?
