Has anyone been able to reach an agent aside from SE or concierge? I'm 75k now and using the dedicated 75k line and I have spent hours on hold listening to AC music supposedly in queue. The web site still says you can not reach an agent but I dont know if that is still accurate. Have a flight this afternoon that I cannot cancel or change on line and I am not planning in traveling today.
(I am so upset about AC still not renewing my SE status...but that is a story for another thread another day...)

At 3am this morning I was on hold with the concierge line for 30 minutes and was offered twice to switch to calling the res SE desk. Once I did that on the second offer I was connected to agent in about 2 minutes. Which I will take as pretty good considering the circumstances.

50K, was able to connect to an agent at around 80 minutes last night at 23:30.

I had a bit of an odd situation. Looking for feedback. I had an Aeroplan award with two carriers. I completed first flight but when I arrived to the second flight, they didn't have a record reservation at all. (I had made a change to the booking at some point and I imagine the 2nd flight never got ticketed.)

I tried to get a hold of Aeroplan in the moment, but they had 1 hour + wait times and was an urgent trip. I ended up booking a revenue ticket on my own and figured would deal with it later.

When I tried to resolve it with the operating carrier of the second flight, they were no help as in their eyes I don't exist.

I am going to reach out to Aeroplan, but wanted advice for what to ask them. Would they be able to refund the entire award? Should I be asking for comp on the other ticket I bought? Am I just out of luck since I booked my own way instead of asking them to rebook me?

Any other thoughts?

I don't see why you wouldn't want them to comp you to the penny for what you had to pay to get on the flight they were supposed to book you on. You tried to reach them to give them a chance to fix it. What more could you have done?

Of course I want them to comp me. It that something they would likely do?

I'm an SE and have been on hold for reservations for 1:34 so far. Didn't give me a call back option. It doesn't feel like their prioritization processes are working. At this point I don't want to hang up as I'm interested to find out how long it could possibly be. This is after four calls earlier where they wouldn't even let me join the queue. Unfortunately I have a change to companion pass booking that cannot be done online and the flight is coming up.

It ended up being 2 hours, but looks like it wasn't recognizing my status properly was just being given the non-status queue.

I thought by today things would be better. My flights were canceled on Feb 16 & Feb 17 so I was forced to spend one night in YYZ, called the SE line that night, gave up after an hour and a half, and did not want the SE desk. Tried again at 5 AM on Feb 16 and got through after twenty minutes and booked on a YYZ-YUL flight so I could continue with my initial itinerary instead of starting a new one from YYZ.

I am so glad I got out just before the unfortunate incident at YYZ - Only learned about it after I arrived in YUL while in the MLL

Filed my claim with AC last night and now I wait to see how long AC takes to get back to me and most importantly what they say. I just want a refund and my hotel was paid for as it was bad weather, although my delay out of YVR home was not due to the weather
I fly back to YYZ in two days, all five runways should be up and running by then and the weather is much nicer :)

Don't read to much into that.
YYZ most of the time only uses two. Rarely are all three east/west runways used.
With the current runway closures, YYZ still has two active directions.
At the moment landing east/departing north.

This is strange. I called twice yesterday morning as a 75K and I was connected both times (after the annoying conversation with the computer) within 1 minute.

Does anyone know why AC195 (YYZ-YLW) diverted to YVR last night? Kelowna weather was light rain, calm winds. A friend was on that flight, has been trying to get there for several days (was supposed to go Monday), Too early in Vancouver to try to ask him what they said when they diverted.

Although other flights landed successfully around that time, AC is claiming weather.

I haven't had to deal with significant IROPS since pre-branded fares (lucky me!), so I'm wondering if this was dealt with as it should have:

My family (1 SE, 1 E50k, 1 *G, 1 no status + premium CC) were all flying YEG-YVR-KOA (SE and E50k on paid Comfort, the other two on AP Standard) a few weeks ago. YEG-YVR was canceled (presumably WX, but I don't know), so two were auto-rebooked AC/YEG-YVR-DL/SEA-KOA, and two were manually rebooked AC/YEG-YVR-DL/SEA-AS/KOA. All the DL/AS flights were booked into basic-equivalent fares. When I dealt with IROPS involving rebookings onto other airlines in the past (usually AC->UA or vice-versa), I was always rebooked into Y class from any economy fare. It seems strange to me that a comfort/standard fare would be rebooked into a Delta/AS Basic fare - is this the system working as intended, or should they have spoken to AC to ask to be rebooked in higher economy fares?

The only requirement AC has is to rebook in the same cabin, so it makes sense to chose the cheapest Y fare available.

Yes but that configuration still restricts airport capacity to about 1/2-2/3 of what they can handle when 05/23 is open.
