YYZ-YUL (A333)
Y->J Min. bid $95
Y->PE Min. bid $90

:confused: Does PE even get a meal on that short a flight? PE would be new to me, so I'm attracted to the novelty factor. Also wondering if it would have a higher likelihood of success since J is the "obvious" play for most bidders.

YUL-YYG (Rouge A319)
Y->PE Min. bid $400

Hahahahahahahaaaaaaa

(Side question: J on YYZ-YUL would not entitle me to MLL access while connecting in YUL, right? Even though my onward flight doesn't have a J cabin?)

Your YUL-YYG flight does have a J cabin. It does not have a PY cabin.

Okay, Premium Rouge is technically J? Still doesn't make the offer less laughable.

Hey, they call LH internal Europe still J and it's the same seats as Y, so why not J for Rouge?

Except rouge and mainline J have almost indistinguishable seats and service.

That's pretty decent. I assume CAD, not USD?

Got my first email.

Booked:
SFO-YVR (eUpgraded)
YVR-YYJ (all Y)
YYJ-YVR (all Y)
YVR-YYC (waitlisted for eUp)
YYC-SFO (eUpgraded)

The email only said I could bid for YVR-YYC. So far, so good.

But the website says I'm not eligible (which makes sense, given I'm waitlisted).

So I got an email to bid when it's impossible to bid.

woah woah woah, you want them to validate who is eligible? That was never in the requirements, IBM will ask for another $30,000 to fix that.

Bid Upgrade on flight without J?

eigenvector Apr 28, 2017 10:37 pm

Is that actually saying you can bid for AC8087, or just generally advertising the existence of bid upgrades?

Sean Peever Apr 28, 2017 10:39 pm

It's the first thing that popped up when I went into manage my booking between the usual links at the top and the info you see at the bottom.

Same here - if I'm in Manage Bookings

But, on the Bid Upgrade email and the linked bid page, these are what I see:
